In 2021, expect to see today’s San Diego County bubble market reach a peak, to be dragged down heading into 2022 by the coming wave of distressed sales upon expiration of the foreclosure moratorium. San Diego’s housing market will likely begin a consistent recovery around 2024-2025. Expect home sales volume to fall back in 2022. Expect sales volume and prices to bottom around 2022-2023 when homebuyers will return in greater numbers to push the housing market to its next recovery, expected to begin around 2024-2025.
