Phuket Bike Week is an annual event will be held in April, 11-13 Patong Beach, 18-19 Phuket Town. It has a number of concurrent fun events to entertain bikers, their friends, families, and onlookers including motorbike and custom bike exhibitions, Miss Phuket Bike Week beauty contest, a beach party, concerts and a ride for peace. The event's main attractions take place on Patong Beach at Loma Park as well as at various locations in Patong, such as the football field across the road from the park and Jungceylon Mega Mall.

MARRIAGE OF FOOD AND WINE Food can change the taste of what you drink so be careful of the marriage or you can waste expensive drinks
Ian Lancaster Еда способна изменить вкус напитка, который вы употребляете. Так что будьте осторожны, едой можно испортить даже очень дорогие вина. Всего существует пять главных вкусов: сладкий, соленый, кислый, горький и умами (вкус мисо супа), хотя в Азии выделяют еще и чили. Попробуйте сочетание вина с каждым из них по отдельности, и вы будете поражены, насколько разным будет ощущение. Чили и вообще острая еда улучшают вкус слабых вин. Новозеландский Sauvignon Blanc или Gewurztraminers, считающиеся чересчур сладкими, легко балансируются специями и чили. 125 мл. или половина бокала вина в тропиках становятся теплыми пока вы пьете его, даже не останавливаясь. Rose и охладженный Pinot Noirs – великолепные вина для жаркого климата. Также на рынке представлены отличные игристые вина Нового Света. Часто ими владеют известные европейские производители шампанского. Например, Chandon из Австралии. Средиземноморские коктейли – это классика. Попробуйте смешать Aperol Spritzer: Aperol, Prosecco и содовая в равных пропорциях, украсьте бокал слайсом апельсина и вы получите прекрасный освещающий, несладкий коктейль. Коктейли на основе фруктов могут быть прекрасной альтернативой классике. Крепкие напитки имеют большую ценность на Пхукете, и если вы еще не пробовали местный ром Chalong Bay, изготовленный из натурального тростникового сладчайшего сока, вы много потеряли. Естественно, его надо смешать с колой. Вы кладете лед в вино? Не беспокойтесь, вас никто особо не осудит, но если можете не делать этого – не делайте. Лучше пейте охлажденное в ведерке вино. Слава Богу, в последнее время технологии шагнули далеко вперед, и классический лед, таящий за секунды – это прошлый век. Пхукет – жаркое место. Здесь надо выпивать, как минимум, 2 литра воды в день. Пожалуйста, не путайте воду с вином. Или хотя бы чередуйте его с содовой, чтобы не умереть с утра от похмелья.
Food tastes are grouped into five main flavours. Sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami (taste of Miso soup) although in Asia we add chilli. An interesting experiment could be to have five different foods corresponding to each category and try them with the same wine. You will be surprised at how they can change the taste of wine. Chilli or spicy food overpowers subtle wines. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc or Gewürztraminers, although very sweet and often regarded as too sweet are balanced by spices and chilli. Only pour 125 ml or half a glass in the tropics or your drink will be warm before you finish it. Rose and chilled Pinot Noirs are excellent wines to drink in the tropics. There are some very good sparkling wines from New World countries that are often owned by a major French Champagne house. Try Chandon from Australia - Brut or Rose as an example. Remember that there are European countries bordering on the Mediterranean that have some classic drinks. Try an Aperol Spritzer: Aperol, Prosecco and Soda water in equal parts poured over ice, then garnish it with a slice of orange and you have a good example of a refreshing and non-sweet drink. Fruit based Cocktails can be an exhilarating alternative. Spirits are great value in Phuket and if you haven't tried the local sugar cane juice based rum- Chalong Bay Rum- you have missed a treat. Most rum's are made from molasses but this local one is very natural. Ice in your wine? Don't worry if that is what you like to do but try not to do it if someone has bought an expensive bottle. There are, however many inventions these days such as ice balls that freeze to keep your wine chilled but don't turn to water. Phuket is hot, so we tend to sweat out water and we need to drink 2 litres a day. Make sure that it is not all alcohol and balance it with either soda water or plain water or else you will sleep until the late afternoon and miss the evening fun times.

ummer comes again so lots of people try to alleviate swelter. Many think of some cooling food like icecream, Nam Kang Sai (Thai dessert) another tasty Thai food with unique character, Kao Chae. Now Kao Chae is catered both on roadside-shops and in restaurants. Kao Chae actually isn't Thai food. It originated from the people of Mon, cooked to sacrifice Songkran God. Making an original Kao Chae is a complicated procedure. «Kao Chae Sawei» or «Royal court Kao Chae» which we generally know nowadays is Kao Chae with jasmine water, it is served with side dishes which are fried shrimp paste and many color of boiled vegetable. We called «Kao Chae Sawei» because the royal court attendant offer Kao Chae to King Rama V and it became one of his favorite dishes. After 1910, AD

Kao Chae become well known widely in villagers and become special menu on Songkran festival. Momluang Neung Ninrat, the cook for King Rama V , she first brought recipe of Kao Chae to the ordinary thai society. Secret technique, making Kao Chae become a specialty is the way jasmine water is made. «Kao Chae» shows Thai culture of consuming which is artistic and neatly culture. Kao Chae is the Thai heritage so we, Thai people should conserve this culture for eternity. Thai food has been accepted all over the world. It is deeply synchronized with the Culture. Kao chae is another wonderful and unique Thai food that has reasonable supports of its origins. It shows the cleverness of adapting to the hot and humid climate (like the Thai house).

Сейчас его подают как придорожных кафе, так и в дорогих ресторанах. Вообще-то, это не тайское блюдо. Оно было изобретено народностью Мон для жертвоприношения богу Сонгкрану. Приготовить Као Чае – не простая задача. Его обязательно подают с жасминовой водой и гарниром в виде острой креветочной пасты и разноцветных вареных овощей. Его еще называют «Као Чае Савей», что значит «Као Чае Королевского двора». В свое время слуга короля Рамы V предложил монарху это

блюдо, и оно ему очень понравилось. После 1910 года Као Чае стало очень популярно по всей стране и особенно любимым на Сонгкран. Момлуанг Неунг Нинрат, повар королевского двора Рамы V, первой открыла рецепт этого кушания для тайского общества. Секретная техника приготовления основана на использовании жасминовой воды. Као Чае показывает насколько высокохудожественна и тонка тайская кулинарная традиция. Many families with kids are coming to Phuket and parents always have the same question: ‘Where to go with kids?’ The main problem is with small kids, who can’t play alone. As a mom who lives here with her kid, I would like to share my experience. It seems to me, that we have been to almost all the places interesting and fun for a 3 year old kid. Here is a list of places to go.
Splash Jungle Water Park.
If you and your kids like to swim, then you should visit a water park. There is a zone for small kids and for toddlers and their parents. Здесь каждый найдет для себя занятие – детская зона для совсем маленьких гостей, большие горки для детей постарше и их родителей и искусственная волна.

One of the famous and most visited places. Kid's Club is in Promenade Shopping Mall in Patong. It offers great amusement for bothkids and parents. SCHOOL OF PHUKET In each person’s life, there are different important stages, from crawling to working. However, the main steps are – kindergarten and school. Here is a list of the most popular schools in Phuket.
British International School Phuket (BISP)
The school was established in 1996. It has more than 50 different nationalities, but the main ones are: Thai, British, Russian, Australian. Most of the teachers are from the United Kingdom, but also from Australia, Canada, the United States, France, China and Russia. For non-native English speakers there is an English language test. For those with strong academics but limited English skills, they offer an intensive English Course for students aged 11 years-old and up. BISP is a member of the International School Association of Thailand (ISAT) and is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and NEASC.
Kajonkiet International School (KIS)
The school was established in 2011. Private co-educational international school using the National Curriculum for England and Wales (British Curriculum). They currently accept children from 2-14 years of age and from both international and Thai communities. The mission is to create strong minded individuals who will become leaders in tomorrow's international community
Head Start International School
The school was established in 2005. The goal is to educate the students by supporting and encouraging them. To be independent and disciplined by promoting independence and self-confidence. It provides a wide range of opportunities to encourage students to discover and develop their talents. Head Start International School is licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education. Since 2011, Head Start is part of the Cambridge International School Network.
Phuket International Academy (PIA)
The school was established in 2009. Currently there are 324 students from 40 different nationalities. Teachers come from around the world, all highly qualified. Standard entry-level test for all secondary students - English and mathematics. Additional English language test may be required for non-English speaking students.

Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy once stated that all happy families are alike, while each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. But is this axiom really true? French psychologist Robert Neuburger shares the idea of family happiness being achievable in various ways. The crucial point, according to Neuburger, is to avoid extremes. Having analyzed lives of hundreds of people, Neurburger developed a classification of family relationships. Each of the models, described by the scholar, has its own merits and demerits (when pushed over the edge). Thus Neuburger’s theory represents some kind of a guidebook for those willing to build a happy family. One just needs to classify his or her family as belonging to one of the types and than fight the weak or dangerous points revealed by Neuburger.
Fortress family
An old proverb says that one's house is supposed to be one's castle. This statement was the underlying principle of most families in the past and many still believe that a proper family shall not let the outsiders in, but shall keep the doors shut, filter information and wash dirty linen at home. Fortress family does exactly what its name means: protects the members from external threats providing them with a support point and an origin of coordinates. But as the fortress is strong against attacks from without as it is vulnerable to threats from within. Isolated families represent a perfect field for domestic violence (physical and psychological alike) and various types of deviant behavior. Without external cue the latter is even encourage to turn into a standard for family members.
Open house
A family that is too open for external influence is an opposite extreme. A family of this type always welcomes outsiders with there views, ideas and recommendations. The good point is that - unlike with the previous model - this family encourages discussions and exchange of opinions, decreasing risk of somebody taking over the house and turning into a domestic dictator. The threats are also obvious. When members of a union stop protecting their privacy, the family ceases to be a family in the proper sense of the word. The home turns into a college dormitory with nearly zero commonly shared tradition and rituals: family dinners become a thing of the past, commonly shared rhythm of life stands down to a set of individual ones and children tend to rely on the judgments of the classmates or a school physiologist rather than their parents.

Another extreme, singled out by Neuburger, is a family where all the members grant each other with excessive freedom. In this case no of the family members is restricted in their self-development and choice of personal philosophy. But while a perfect environment for adults, this atmosphere can be dangerous for children and teenagers. Zero guidance from the parents is as dangerous for them as the excessive pressure and may turn a kid into a little tyrant with no ideas of responsibility, compassion and even fear.

Idea-centric society
The last (but by no means least common) type are families build around some ideology shared by all of its members. The ideas may vary from religion to political views, as soon this idea is strong enough to unite the family members in front of the outsider world and five them a weapon against external threats. But the sad truth is that strong ideologies always come hand by hand with denial of real life in favor of the idealistic world and hiding real facts that contradict the idea. Французский психотерапевт Роберт Нойбургер принадлежит к числу специалистов, полагающих, что семейного счастья можно достичь разными путями, и самое главное на этом пути – это избегать крайностей. Анализируя жизнь сотен людей, он составил классификацию моделей семейных взаимоотношений. У каждой из моделей есть свои плюсы и минусы, так что его работу можно считать своего рода справочником – определите, к какому типа относится ваша семья, и Роберт подскажет, что можно изменить, чтобы домашний союз стал еще более крепким и счастливым.

Один из самых распространенных в традиционном обществе типов семьей строится на тезисе «мой дом – моя крепость». Эта модель была господствующей в прошлом, но и сейчас многие люди полагают, что хорошая семья должна сторониться чужаков, двери – держаться закрытыми, информация извне – тщательно фильтроваться, а сор – оставаться в семье. Главный плюс консервативного подхода – его надежность. Семья-крепость полностью оправдывает свое название, защищая членов от внешних угроз, давая им точку опоры и начало координат. Однако насколько крепость защищена от внешних угроз, настолько она уязвима к внутренним. Именно в семьях, закрытых от внешнего взгляда, наиболее часто встречается домашнее насилие (от психологического доминирования до физических расправ), отсутствие внешних ориентиров поощряет развитие девиаций и их фиксацию в качестве нормы.
Противоположная крайность – дом, слишком открытый для внешнего мира. Такая семья с готовностью принимает людей из внешнего круга с их советами, мнениями и рекомендациями. В отличие от предыдущей модели такой союз открыт для дискуссий и споров, в нем никогда не скучно, и едва ли кому из домочадцев удастся объявить себя диктатором. Вместе с перечисленным выше плюсами открытость несет с собой и совершенно очевидные угрозы. Попросту говоря, если домочадцы не защищают свое приватное пространство, то семья перестает существовать как семья, превращаясь в своего рода общежитие, у членов которого нет общих традиций и ритуалов. Семейные обеды уходят в прошлое, попытки выстроить единый ритм жизнь терпят крах, а для детей мнение отца и матери оказывается менее значимым, чем слова друзей по двору или школьного психолога.

Зачастую, слишком либеральные родители через несколько лет после рождения сына или дочери обнаруживают, что живут вместе с маленьким тираном, которому не ведомо ни чувство ответственности, ни страха.
Четвертый типа по классификации Нойбургера – это семья, в основе которой лежит какая-либо ключевая идея. В роли объединяющего фактора может выступать что угодно – религиозные верования, мораль, политические взгляды. Принадлежность к группе с ясной идеей дает чувство солидарности всех членов союза перед лицом внешнего мира, и при этом оставляет возможность для самостоятельности. Однако любая жесткая идеология (будь-то коммунизм или ислам) опасна тем, что ее неизбежный спутник – отрицание реальности и желание прятать неугодные факты действительности. Именно в таких семьях зачастую родители скрывают от детей свое прошлое, а те – чтобы соответствовать высоким стандартам дома – с раннего возраста учатся врать о своих собственных неудачах в учебе или в общении со сверстниками.

MARTIN HOLMES: BEING PART OF A TEAM BOTH AT WORK, AND AT HOME Combining my busy job with my family life. It’s all about striking the right balance and making time for work commitments and also my family. I am fortunate to have the support of the staff at Lee Marine and also my wife, Oraphan, who takes care of the children and everything at home enabling me to travel to boat shows or meetings when required. Spending quality time with my family at weekends is very important to me. A perfect day would be... 6 am tee-off for nine holes of golf (all birdies!); champagne brunch followed by a soothing spa massage at one of the many amazing Phuket resorts and to top it off a sunset cruise around Phang Nga Bay. After 17 years of living and working in Phuket the beauty of the surrounding islands still amazes me. The worldwide economic situation does effect the industry as we have boats and clients from all around the world. Currency fluctuations can work both ways though, and so opportunities can often be found to work in favor of buyers and sellers. Yachting for many is an escape from the ‘real world’ and you cannot put a price on the experiences that owning a boat will offer you and your family.
For customers who are new to boating our role is quite often educating the clients to understand the lifestyle that can be enjoyed on board a boat, and giving them the benefit of our long experience so that they can make informed decisions. For those experienced boat owners out there, the wide range of boats available for sale around Phuket, the services on offer and the beautiful cruising grounds make for a perfect place to buy a boat and begin their adventures.

TAMSIN EDENBROW: MUCH OF OUR BUSINESS IS REPEAT CUSTOMERS It's difficult to combine my busy job with my family life my busy job with my family life. I work with my husband in the yachting industry and so I’m lucky because between us we can organise our time so that one of us is always able to pick the children up from school and go to their activities. As I look after the marketing I can arrange my working schedule around the children which means I can work in the evenings when they go to bed if I don’t have enough time in the day. Gareth travels a lot for work, but I don’t travel as much as I used to and so that makes keeping a good work / life balance much easier. A perfect day would be... No squabbling between the children! Breakfast in bed, followed by a blue sky day skiing in the mountains with my family and friends.
The economic situation does affect the yachting industry, however the superyacht industry recovered quickly from the global financial crisis. Anyone who is Russian ruble-based will find yacht purchases much more expensive now. The exchange rates do impact the yachting industry. The overall economic situation in eastern Europe may impact Europe’s leading shipyards.
During the global financial crisis fewer yachts were purchased and people who were purchasing yachts were negotiating hard. Yacht Solutions specializes in superyacht refit, shore-support and charter side of the business and so we
found that more of our clients were upgrading their yachts rather than purchasing new ones, so our business remained fairly constant. If you own a yacht you must invest in its upkeep to ensure it holds its value.

t the height of summer, when temperatures can hit the 40s, Thais do the most sensible thing you could think of: they cool down by soaking each other with water. This mid-year madness is called Songkran and is actually the country's Buddhist New Year Holiday - traditionally three days of fun 'sanook' and celebrations from the 13th to 15th of April, for which the festivities are often extended to include the weekends before and after the official dates. The entire country participates in Songkran. No one escapes getting wet, even visitors. In fact it would be considered quite ominous if one were to not get splashed at all. For first timers in Thailand during Songkran, the shock of seeing masses of drenching each other in the streets doesn't take long to get over and join in. You're going to get wet anyway and you'll soon dry out in the intense heat. Many festivities surround Songkran. Water splashing is just one of them, and the number of days differs with each province. In Bangkok, for example, the water splashing goes on for the full three days. In Chiang Mai they usually indulge in a whole week of water throwing but in Phuket only one of the three days is dedicated to getting wet. Although the scenes of a free-for-all water fight may seem completely chaotic and care free, there are a few things visitors should be aware of about the traditions of Songkran to ensure the fun and games don't end up turning into an embarrassing or dangerous situation. First things first, whether or not you are planning to join the water throwing, you will get wet, so before you go anywhere, take only what you really need with you. Put your money, phone and other electronics in a seal-able plastic bag to stop them getting wet and damaged. If you are riding a motorbike, be aware that people on the side of the road will throw water at you, which could put you off balance, or you could slip on the wet surface. Drive carefully and slowly, and make sure you wear protective clothing such as good shoes, long pants and a helmet. You'll see that most don't take such precautions and many end up with injuries as a result. Songkran is one of the few times that it is acceptable for men to touch women in public - with permission, of course, and then the touching would be limited to gently putting powder on the cheeks; nothing more. You'll notice that women usually wear two layers of clothing or something that covers them well, such as a singlet and a T-shirt in order to not be too revealing when they get wet. Do the same if you are a female planning on joining in. Although almost everyone is a target for a water attack, some people have jobs to go to or have dressed up especially for an engagement. Use your judgment and only splash people who are actively taking part in the water throwing. For the millions of people from around the country who live and work in other provinces, Songkran is the one time of year they go back to their home provinces to be with friends and family. This makes the roads incredibly congested and very dangerous. The annual death toll on Thailand's roads during the New Year break is so high that the festive week has been branded the 'Seven Days of Danger' by authorities doing their best to reduce the number of accidents each year, which often number between 2,000 and 3,000, injuring thousands and killing hundreds. If you can help it, don't travel. We hope this helps you have a happy Songkran, full of «Sanook»!

Название этого праздника – Сонгкран. Буддистский новый год, празднуемый на протяжении трех дней с 13 по 15 апреля, часто захватывающий и уикенд. Вся страна принимает участие в Сонгкране. Никто не сможет остаться сухим, даже туристы. Будет очень и очень странно, если на вас не упадет ни капли воды в эти дни. riday, 13th of February was the perfect occasion for a new event series called “Seacret Sounds”. It was a great day for creating something extraordinary like that - a mixture of modern art and music. The exclusive event Christian Schwind was hosted onboard of two luxury yachts and it was organized as a sunset cruise to the world famous Phang Nga Bay with its stunning scenery of limestone rocks. Only 50 VIP guests were invited, people who are extraordinary, who stand out from

the crowd and who are really into music and art. No less a figure than the well known Asian DJ Nakadia played an electro set onboard. She was accompanied by a Russian percussionist. Another highlight was a gig of the Russian soul singer Malika. All of them really got the crowd into the right mood. When they performed hundreds of birds were flying around and it looked like the sun goes down into the ocean. That was a really unique atmosphere - priceless. It was the ideal setting for the event as it was intended to celebrate life, to dance, to drink and to delight. Finally seven different nationalities enjoyed it together: Russian, Swiss, German, Danish, British, Italian and Thai. The next event will take place on 28th March.

here are many people all over the world living permanently onboard of their yachts, either moored in a yacht marina or cruising around the globe. I lived myself very - very comfortable for decades on my yachts in France, Spain, Italy and north Africa, using them mainly as a residence and cruised with them during the holidays as i was really busy in the marine consulting business. The main advantages are usually the nice Marinas with all comfort, some of them with club, restaurants, bars and even swimming pool that you can use. Most of them are in the center of fabulous cities like Barcelona, Cannes, Antibes, San Remo, St. Tropez etc. etc. for instance in the Mediterranean and make shopping, eating out or visiting interesting spots very easy, they have usually a very good security, electric power and drinking water on each berth and are spotless clean. The disadvantage is that they are usually very much booked and it's hard to find a berth especially during the summer months of July and august and they are quite expensive. If you on the other hand use your yacht as a permanent

residence instead of paying taxes for houses, land, gardeners or other domestic staff, you can get a nice crew on bigger yachts or do it yourself on smaller ones. A lot of these called ' yachties ' go only into marinas in case of bad weather, winterizing or fill up with fuel and water and live a remarkable free life on secluded anchorages without any problem as most yachts produce their own electricity and have reverse osmosis watermakers on board that convert saltwater into very safe drinking water. Imaging sipping your sundowners on the aft or top deck of your yacht anchored safely in a beautiful bay without the usually noises of beach life etc. The main advantage is that you are mobile and if you do not like your neighbors or surroundings it is very easy to move to another spot that suit you better. It is certainly a very special lifestyle that is not suitable for everyone, but it is a very unique way of living your life even if it is more expensive than living in a house as a yacht needs much more maintenance and care than a building onshore, but most of the people i've meet during my years living on yachts would never ever go back to live onshore.

FIVE STORIES ABOUT MICHELIN STARS
For years, gourmands from South East Asia have been speculating about Michelin Guide starting assigning its stars of excellence to the restaurants of Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Indeed, there are strong reasons to believe that sooner or later Michelin inspectors will secretly visit the best dining venues of Bangkok to produce a Red Guide on the capital of Siam. One strong clue to this is the opening of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Bangkok (2013). The place is run by famous Joël Robuchon, Chef of the Century according to Gault Millau Guide and Michelin’s veteran chef boasting 28 stars in total. It is a widely known fact that Michilen experts have been closely monitoring his career and it was Robuchon’s restaurant in Tokio that encouraged Michelin to launch a Red Guide on the capital of Japan. So one can reasonably expect to get a chance to dine in a Michelin restaurant in Bangkok quite soon. As for now, the Red Guide features only one restaurant with Thai food around the globe, which is Nahm in London. And while Siamese gourmands are waiting for Michelin’s arrival to the country we are ready to offer you a compilation of amazing stories about this little flower-like stars which are celebrating their 114-th birthday this year.
A little bit of history
Inaugurated in 1900, the first edition of Andre Michelin's book was rather a handbook for motorist than a restaurant guide. By marking a place with a star, Andre informed the readers that the level of prices in a venue is above average. It was 1920 when the guide was revised and the three star system introduced. Since then one star meant a very good restaurant, two stars - an excellent place worth a detour, and three stars - a venue worth a special journey.

In the eyes of Michelin inspectors, nothing and no one can have more influence on the restaurant's rating than the personality of the chef. Restaurants that do not offer chef's signature cuisine possess zero chances to get rated and chef normally take the star with him if he or she leaves the place. Some of the restaurants enjoy an unofficial title of «ever three-starred». This is true about places run by legendary haute cuisine trendsetters such as Paul Bocuse, Georges Blanc, Michel Troisfros and several others.

This episode is based on a real story or actually even several ones. Chef Alain Zick shot himself after losing a star in 1966. In 2003 Gerard Besson had a heart attack for the same reason while Bernard Loiseau committed a suicide due to the gossips that his restaurant can loose a star (the speculations proved to be false).

And several five star hotels include dining in their Michelin starred restaurants into various promo packages so one can book a room at 100200 usd per night and enjoy the most fashionable dining merely for free.

Paul Ropp’s values revolve around, not only how to have a good successful life, but how to have a happy and worthwhile one that teaches you more than you thought you wanted to learn. He spreads his wisdom with his family and friends through his intelligent little catch phrases, such as: «May today be better than yesterday, may tomorrow be better than today». Although, at surface value this may sound a little mundane, what it has always taught me is that we must value the necessity for, and strive towards, making our own lives better: minute by minute, day by day. This is not just to create a goal of wealthy success, by no means. This striving for something more teaches us that we will always have more to give than we realize, and
we will have never given our full potential, until we realize that every single day we live should be an effort to outdo the last not in extravagance, but in joy. The progression of our life success is also not an instant overnight phenomenon. Working toward a life we are happy with is an active process that takes patience and perseverance. We can only hope that each day is better than the last to know that we actually are furthering on the stepping stones to where we are trying to go. Not only does it teach me to inch towards my goals, but it gears me towards thinking of others’ circumstances and how my paths may cross theirs. If I am, in one day, unsuccessful in inching myself towards the other side of the big wide pond of life, then I can make that day better by helping someone else do just that. My happiness is not in my own steps alone, but the steps I make that may inevitably help someone else’s day be better, inching them closer to their endpoint.

ome day or another, any person reaches the state when he or she decides to get their body into shape. This can happen after getting a biting remark or simply failing to put their favorite jeans on. Reasons may vary but the most common solution is typically start loosing weight. To fulfill the mission some begin dieting while others choose even more radical means like taking diuretics and weight-losing pills or even stitching up the stomach (yes, it is not a joke). Trying to get the ideal shape we ruin our health without even seeing how useless and dangerous are all the mentioned above methods. There is no magic way of loosing extra weight once and forever. The best (and the only) solution is to burn more calories than you get.
Step 1
Start with calculating your normal daily amount of calories (numerous websites can help you) and then cut consumption in order to be slightly under the normal level. The best way is to cut down on fried dishes and fat rich foods. Control your nutrition with calories counters at least during the initial period. Step 2
Increase the amount of calories you burn with physical activities. You can run, dance or play tennis. Anything can do but bear in mind that proper exercise in a gym will not only speed up the weight loss but also help boost muscle giving you a nice bonus of a fit and beautiful body. For the second time at the Grammy's, Kanye has, in his own (lack of) brilliance decided who should have won the album of the year (both times being, according to him, Beyonce).
Nothing against Beyonce, she never asked Kanye to embarrass her, but if Kanye took his head out of his own ass for a breather, he would actually know who Beck is, and not only what and incredible artist Beck is, but also the historical relevance he has brought to the music industry, as opposed to the cookie cutter, bubble gum garbage that Kanye (including the talentless Kardashians) surrounds himself with. The fact that it takes Beyonce multiple writers, multiple producers, multiple musicians to come up with one hook... Beck on the other hand, plays, arranges, writes and produces his own music... and incredibly can do all of it by himself... Beyonce and Kanye might have fancy stage shows with huge production budgets, but when it come to awarding «Album of the Year», the real artist clearly won the award, Beck.

WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT DIAMOND CONDO? Where you come from? What were you doing & working before?

I was born in a little village near the beautiful town Ghent in Belgium. I grew up there with my parents and two younger brothers. At 19 I finished school where architecture was my main subject. Very strange it took me more than 30 years to really profit from those studies. I started my own business, a direct mailing company. It was hard work, long days, with up and downs but at the end it paid off. About 50 people were working with me and we became one of the biggest direct mail companies in Belgium. At that moment I sold the company. That's another story. Many Belgium people go to Turkey on holiday, just like me. Less than ten years ago I invested in a Turkish building company. Although I am not a builder, I loved it. I don't care how a wall is built, I am interested in the result, the quality.
What was behind your decision to set up a business in Phuket?
I fell in love with Thailand a long time ago. I used to come on holiday. I like the Thai way of life, although it's sometimes difficult for a westerner to understand. At a certain moment I had the opportunity to join a company that owned some land here in Bangtao and Surin. I liked it because it is close to the beach and at the same time in the middle of green. It was never my intention to build something like Diamond Condominium but being an entrepreneur and my positive experience in Turkey started me thinking.
What's special about Diamond Condo? What are its unique points?
"What if I can build something I want to buy myself? What if I can build something with western standards for a correct and affordable price?" And so the project started and our construction will be completed on November 2016, one and two bedroom condo's with western standards. Solid walls, good plumbing and finished. Что стояло за вашим решением открыть бизнес на Пукете? Я влюбился в Таиланд много лет назад. В определенный момент у меня появилась возможность присоединиться к компании, которая владела несколькими участками земли здесь, на Банг Тао и Сурине. Мне понравилась земля, так как участки расположены близко к пляжу и в тоже время окружены зеленью.
Что особенного у Diamond Condominium? В чем его отличие от других проектов? Я задал себе вопрос «Смогу ли я построить такой проект, который захочу купить сам, с европейским качеством и привлекательной ценой?» Ответ – да, смогу. В итоге проект начали. Это комплекс апартаментов с одной и двумя спальнями, которые соответствуют европейским стандартам.
