Weekly bulletin of the Rotary Club of Bendigo Inc. - Chartered 30th July 1925 - District 9800

EDITOR’S REPORT

We celebrated an auspicious occasion for our club on Tuesday when we recognised the efforts of one of our great ‘non rotarian’ supporters for the many years of immeasurable service to our club and more specifically our annual Christmas Carols. David Wilkinson, and his family, have been providing the lighting, including setting it up, operating it all and taking it all down again, free of charge to our club for many, many years. The benefit in dollar terms is almost immeasurable and that money has benefitted the community of Bendigo in many ways.

Since the club has presented the Easter Art show in the town hall, David has also provided lighting to this event - free of charge.

As a non-Rotarian this generosity and dedication to our club’s community service activities is remarkable and Past President Wayne Smith recognised this commitment with a Paul Harris Fellowship on Tuesday. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Bendigo, David James
