The Land of Joy is now bigger and better! Having ridden the Sixty Two, Icon, FullThrottle, CafĂŠ Racer, Desert Sled and now the Special, the Scrambler Ducati Special takes the series to a new level with a beefier 1,079 capacity L-Twin engine, and electronics is one of the three Scrambler 1100 variants that was recently launched at Art of Speed 2018. So what makes the Special so special? Inspired by its classic roots, the Retrostatic Special now comes with the modern-day character of black spoke rims, aluminium mudguard, aluminium tank side panel, two silencers merge smoothly with the rear that gives the Special a more muscular, chrome exhausts, 3 Riding Modes; Active (Sports), Journey (Standard) and City (Rain), Bosch 9.1 MP Cornering ABS to ensure safety whatever the situation. Ducati Traction Control (DTC) completes the electronic package, even can set the engine braking level. All these electronics derive from the sports model siblings! The first impression of the Special looks bulky and heavy, but after riding her for a few hours, the weight of the Special no longer felt. The Special is heavier by 5kgs compare to the other variant, Sports and Standard, because of the spoke rims.
