A Message from Dean Lei
If you watched the Rutgers men’s basketball game on February 1, in addition to a great win, you might have seen RBS on the court at halftime. Our friends from Deloitte presented us with a check for $79,962, which included contributions from RBS Deloitte alumni, along with a matching gift from Deloitte. This money will be used for scholarships for many talented diverse students at RBS to help them complete their college degree. Sharon Lydon, pictured in the photo, joined RU Athletic Director Pat Hobbs, Deloitte alumnus Jeff Mraz, and the RU Scarlet Knight for the check presentation. Go Rutgers and Go RBS!

Program Spotlight: Road to Supply Chain Leadership
The Rutgers Business School is proud to launch a new and innovative program for undergraduate students enrolled in Newark and New Brunswick, titled the “Road to Supply Chain Leadership Program” (RSCL), it is uniquely designed to help students majoring in Supply Chain Management to develop the leadership skills needed to address the challenges faced by many supply chain organizations today. In addition to comprehensive academic training, the students will receive mentorship, participate in experiential learning projects, immense networking opportunities, get internships and co-op assignments, and participate in conferences, case competitions, and certifications. RBS partnered with renowned, global companies to select diverse and highly talented students and provide them with resources and tools to build competence and confidence as competitive candidates in the job market and as successful future leaders in the industry. A selected number of scholarships will also be offered to deserving and qualified students. Under the direction of Sandar Ramen, the new program will host their launch event April 25th from 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm at 100 Rock. The Road to Supply Chain Leadership team is expected to host 100 guests including the Mayor of New Brunswick.
“A program like this will help me learn about different careers that are possible in Supply Chain, and it will give me opportunities to get work experience. I want to get that professional experience.”
— Lauren Kim, Sophomore, Supply Chain Management and Marketing double major

Rutgers and J&J Make List of America’s Best Large Employers
With U.S. unemployment rates historically low–just 3.4 percent this January, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics–workers can be more selective than ever in choosing their employer. Even after the layoffs at many of the nation’s largest companies, from Microsoft and Salesforce to Disney and 3M, top talent can still find themselves with options with the help of some expert research on what U.S.-based employees say are the best companies to work for.
Forbes partnered with the market research firm Statista to compile our list of America’s Best Large Employers. The ranking is based on a survey of about 45,000 workers at American companies and institutions with 5,000 or more employees. Participants were asked if they would recommend their current employers to friends and family (on a scale of 0 to 10), and to cite any other employer they would also recommend. The final list ranks the 500 large employers that received the most recommendations. RBS-NB Club Fair
Students representing over 15 clubs at RBS-NB tabled at the spring involvement fair. The fair, held on the 5th floor lounge of 100 Rock, was an opportunity for students to meet clubs and other student interest groups. Student leaders had a chance to recruit and promote their clubs to the student body and highlight some of the exciting accomplishments of their clubs and share their upcoming event and meeting schedules. Our RBS student clubs are hard at work to help fellow students network with hiring companies, engage in panel discussions and spruce up resumes from visiting employee reps, who most often are returning Alumni!
