The new home strip was unveiled just before VE Day, alongside our Tommy’s Race to Victory fundraising team.

Tommy Club had the pleasure of attending Leyton Orient’s first home league match on Saturday 14 August and we were so proud to see the team and supporters wearing Tommy on their shirts.
RBLI’s new relationship with Leyton Orient is both powerful and poignant. During World War I, a total of 41 members of the Clapton Orient team and staff joined up into the 17th Battalion Middlesex Regiment (the Footballers’ Battalion), the highest number of any football team in the country. During the Battle of the Somme, three players gave their lives for king and country: Richard McFadden, George Scott and William Jonas.
