TOMMY CLUB FOUNDING PATRON TAKES ON HOTEL MARATHON

In June, Ash Alexander-Cooper decided to run a marathon, whilst quarantining in his 30ft hotel room to raise funds for RBLI.

The former British Army Officer and Tommy Club Founding Patron was travelling to Australia to reunite with his 12-year-old daughter after more than a year apart.

However, to adhere to the country’s strict Covid regulations, Ash was required to quarantine in a Sydney hotel for two weeks upon arrival.

Confined to his room, with meals delivered to his door and unable to evenopen a window, Ash decided to take the opportunity to raise crucial funds for RBLI during the pandemic.

It is a cause that is particularly close to the Gurkha veteran’s heart.

During a 22-year service career, in which he became one of the Army’s most experienced operational specialists, Ash survived being shot in both legs, a number of explosive incidents, a suicide bomber and a helicopter crash.

LONDON LANDMARKS HALF MARATHON 2022

#TeamBrave takes part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for RBLI

WHEN: SUNDAY 3 APRIL

DISTANCE: 13.1 MILES

LOCATION: LONDON

PLEDGE: £350

The race starts by The Strand, finishes by Downing Street and has fabulous views of London’s most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye.

By joining the team, RBLI will support you and you will receive:

• An RBLI running vest when you raise over £100

• A fundraising pack to help take your challenge to the finish line

• Fun tools and tips to help you with your fundraising, including regular emails to keep you motivated

Tommy Club is officially a year old! As we celebrate our first birthday, this also means our first ever renewals season is about to start.
