Bilingual Storytime Children can learn and expand their Spanish vocabulary when they attend our storytimes, and get excited about the joy of reading! After our Bilingual Storytimes, we offer arts & crafts and activities for children. The activities are related to the storytime theme of the day. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.
Bouncing Babies: Rhymes & Songs Join us as we share stories, rhymes and songs for young children to reinforce language development and print awareness. For ages 0-23 months, their parents and/or caregivers.

Wednesdays at 6:00 pm Thursdays at 3:00 pm Spanish Language Collection In addition to our English material collection, the John Daly Library offers the largest Spanish collection in the Daly City Public Library system. Library users have access to books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs in Spanish for children, young adults, and adults.

Wednesdays at 10:15 am Thursday Storytimes Thursday storytimes are designed for infants to 1st graders, but the whole family is welcome for stories, songs, and coloring. Children must be accompanied by a guardian. Thursdays at 10:15 am and 1:15 pm Pajama Storytimes Kids, bring your teddy bears and wear your PJs to family storytime for children 0-7 years old. Enjoy stories, songs, and dance the hokey pokey. Children must be accompanied by a guardian. 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the Month at 7:15 pm Knitting for Everyone Learn how to knit. Get help finishing your project and share your progress. 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 10:30 am Teen Zone Introducing our new afterschool space for middle school and high school students. Students are invited to study together first, and when their homework is done, compete in Wii videogames such as "Wii Sports." Wednesday afternoons at 3:00 pm Brain Benders Now available for Adults and Teens! Bring your library card to the desk to check out a Perplexus™ marble maze or a 3D wooden hand held puzzle for use in the library during your next visit!
