Coolidge Transit Cotton Express and Central Arizona Regional Transit Cotton Express Public Transit

The Cotton Express bus system provides Deviated Fixed Route bus service Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Demand service Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance for the bus to deviate off the route or for demand service. Every year the Cotton Express provides nearly 24,000 passenger trips in the City of Coolidge. Our transit department provides a vital service to the community by giving people an option to ride rather than drive a vehicle. The Cotton Express is funded primarily through the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) 5311 Rural Public Transit Program. Funds are matched by the City of Coolidge. This source of Federal funding makes transit a feasible service to provide to Coolidge residents.

CART – Central Arizona Regional Transit The City of Coolidge began operation of the first regional transit service route in Pinal County in 2010. In 2011 the City of Coolidge, Central Arizona Coolidge, Pinal County and the Town of Florence formed a partnership that became the Central Arizona Regional Transit (CART) system. The CART bus system provides regional route services to neighboring communities for employment, educational medical and personal trips. CART connects Florence, Coolidge, Central Arizona College (CAC), and Casa Grande Monday through Friday 5:05am to 8:30pm. View CART route maps at www.coolidgeaz.com/transit or ridethecart.com.

The CART intercity connector has made travel across the central part of Pinal County possible for people that may have no other means of transportation. This route is heavily utilized by students attending CAC and employees commuting from one community to another for work.
