Community Service

20 HOURS

Amount of community service required each year for Upper School students

Lower School and Middle School Lower School and Middle School students participate in community service within their respective divisions during the school year as part of Ravenscroft’s curriculum.

Upper School Upper School students are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service each year. At least 10 of these hours must be fulfilled through volunteering with civic, religious or community nonprofit agencies involved in outreach and service activities, especially those that aid members of our community who are less fortunate. The remaining hours can be completed on the Ravenscroft campus with certain stipulations. Students can begin logging community service hours the summer prior to their freshman year.

Hours should be recorded on a Community Service Form and be signed by a representative of the agency offering the community service. These forms should be turned in to the Upper School to receive credit.
