Analysis

- The cups model I tried to play with the angle and the sizes of the cups.

- The foil model was was in the z , y, and z axis.

- The last model was good in terms of the axis.

CW2:Rectilinear Volumes

Description

Create 3 interesting and balanced compositions using 3 rectilinear volumes. The connections are to be wedging, cradling or piercing.

Materials

- Plasticine

Analysis

- The 3 models are made of domain , sub - domain ,and sub - ordinate.

- Each part is in different angle and axis.

Concept or inspiration

- Success

- Teamwork

- Balance

Reflection

I think the relationships was good , however , I would make the sub dominate clearer.

Feedback

I would make the sub domain bigger.

HW2:Rectilinear Volumes

Description Materials

Concept or inspiration

Create 3 interesting and balanced rectilinear compositions. The connections, material (s) and colors are up your choice. .

- Plastic

- Boxes

- Paper

Analysis

- The 3 models are made of domain , sub - domain ,and sub - ordinate.

- Each part is in different angle and axis.

- Balance

Reflection

I think the relationships was good , however , I would recreate the third model.

Feedback

I would make relationships between the part to be cleared

CW3: Curvilinear Volumes

Description

Create 3 interesting and balanced compositions using 3 curvilinear volumes. The connections are to be wedging, cradling or piercing.

Analysis

- Plasticine

Materials Concept or inspiration

- Balance

- Inequality

Model 1: - The 3 different balls has hierarchy between them and in order to show different angles I placed them in different axis × y, ,and .z Model 2 : - I used 2 different techniques in this model the first was wedging and the second was piercing. I worked on the axis not to look linear.

Feedback

- Success Model 3and Model 1was linear although I work hard to make them not.

Model - 3: half a sphere was wedged in the cone. The cone was on x axis however | try to make the half sphere in the z axis.

Reflection

If I am going to change something I will change that my models were linear. I will change the angles of the components.

HW3: Curvilinear Volumes

Description

Description: Each should choose one animal in three different positions. Create 3 interesting and balanced curvilinear compositions, abstracted from the positions you have chosen.

Materials

Analysis

In model 1, 2, and 3 I used wedging only. In all the models I also played with the axis I tried to angle them and Place them in the x, y, and z axis.

Reflection

- Plastic - Paper - Dolphin

Concept or inspiration

- Giraffe

Feedback

After | finished the models. I realized that one model was weak in relations and the other is linear.

I would have thought more in the weak model to make strong relationships and in the other I would change the angle and axis.

CW 4: Mix Recti/Curvilinear

Volumes

Description

Create one interesting and balanced composition using (from 5 to7) rectilinear and curvilinear volumes. The connections are to be wedging, cradling or piercing.

Materials

- Plasticine

Analysis

- The model is made of domain , sub - domain ,and sub - ordinate.

- Each part is in different angle and axis.

Reflection

I could have with the axis more.

Feedback

I would change the axis.

Concept or inspiration
- Balance

HW 04: Symbolic Monument

Description

Each group should create three symbolic monuments for three locations on AUC campus. The locations are to be related (Schoolsbuildings - courtyards - gatesetc. ...) .

Groups: 2 to 3 Students

Materials

- Foam

- Paper

- Wood Stick

- Strings

Concept or inspiration

- SSE

- Library

- Arts Building

Analysis

Model 1: has domain , sub - domain , and sub - ordinate . All off them in different angle.

Model 3: has different sizes . However, there is no z axis.

Reflection

The Model out of paper could be more dynamic.

Feedback

I would have changed the axis of the paper model.

Classwork 5 B+

CW 5: Lines

Description

One model with lines and curves

Materials

- Wires

Analysis

Concept or inspiration

- Care vs Neglection

Reflection

Good positive and negative space ratio

Feedback

Used all types of curves

- The model had many types of curve. 27
28

HW5: Lines

Description

One model with lines and curves about a dancing object.

Materials

- Sticks

- Foil

Concept or inspiration

- Bee

Feedback

The inspiration picture was weak. And the model needs more lines.

Analysis

The model has different view from different angles and has the 3 types of line .

Reflection

I think the the usage of foil instead of wires was good and different .
