A PEEK AT THE PARSHA

Parshat Haazinu is Moshe Rabbeinu’s last big speech to Bnei Yisrael before he passes away. In this parsha, Moshe teaches the Jewish people a special song. This song reminds everyone to always remember Hashem and keep His Torah.

The song talks about how Hashem has been very good to the Jewish people, taking care of them like a shepherd who watches over his sheep. Hashem gave them food, water, and protected them on their journey through the desert.

But the song also warns that sometimes the Jewish people might forget Hashem and turn

ONE BIG IDEA

Parshat Haazinu is written like a song. But why does Moshe sing it? A song is full of feelings like joy, sadness, hope, and love. The Torah is like a song because it touches our hearts, not just our minds. When we sing, we remember better. That’s why Moshe used a song to help Bnei Yisrael remember Hashem’s words forever. Just like we sing happy songs on Shabbat and holidays, we should feel joy in learning Torah. The Torah isn’t just rules, it’s Hashem’s beautiful song to us. Let’s sing it with our voices, our actions, and our hearts!

away from Him. When that happens, bad things can happen, like enemies attacking or hardships. However, the song says that if the people return to Hashem and say sorry, Hashem will forgive them and bring them back to Him.

Moshe tells Bnei Yisrael that the Torah is like a guide to help them stay close to Hashem and live good lives. The song encourages the Jewish people to always follow the Torah, no matter what happens.

Moshe reminds them that Hashem is always watching and knows everything. The Jewish people should choose to follow Hashem’s ways so they can have a good and happy life in the Land of Israel.

At the end of the parsha, Moshe calls heaven and earth to listen to the Jewish people’s choices: to follow Hashem or not. Hashem wants us to choose life by following His Torah.
