INSTRUMENTS

The OMS T150 project was initiated with intentions of purchasing new musical instruments for the Oriental Music Society, for which the Society and the Master in-charge Mr. Chamila Maddegoda were in dire need. Hence, the list of instruments was compiled and forwarded to the OMS T150 Committee from the College.

The Committee did an estimation for the requested instruments and was shared with the membership. As result of the generous donations from the Old Boys and well wishes, new musical instruments worth of LKR 4.6 million were donated.

In this process, it is worth noting the immense contribution rendered by Mr. Charudaththe Ilangasinghe, who is a Senior Lecturer at University of Visual & Performing Arts and also a member of the OMS T150 Committee, in preparing cost estimates and providing technical consultation to purchase the best instruments available.
