Foreword Welcome to the NINTH Ageless Opportunities Directory.

It includes a wide range of clubs and different activities for all of us to take advantage to get out of our homes, chat with others, enjoy playing or helping us to keep fit. Our health is important and we can help ourselves by participating in the things we enjoy doing and meeting and chatting with other people.

If you are not sure what to do, read through the content, select your interest, then visit or contact the club. If you are new to the area OR this is your first viewing of the Directory OR you think you are aware of all the opportunities available to you, then, I suggest you might be surprised at what is available. We all need to keep physically and mentally active, it is essential for us to get out and meet other people, to chat and share interests. Regardless of your situation there is opportunity to get out of the four walls. 2012 was a memorable year, with the Olympic Games and the Queen’s 60th Celebrations. The Great Yarmouth Older People’s Network, Ageless Opportunities and Age Concern worked closely to introduce their own celebration events for Older People, “Participation and Celebration”. We carried these on in 2013 and 2014, and 2015 will take place in May and October. The Funday is on Friday May 29th at the Kings Centre, near Haven Vets, once again arranged by Age Concern and Ageless Opportunities.

I express sincere thanks to the staff and many volunteers that work hard to ensure we have opportunity to be active.
