Welcome Royal Adelaide Golf Club (RAGC) has long been considered South Australia’s premier course with a traditional links

layout. For many years, it has been highly rated by both national and international standards and is currently regarded in the top 10 courses in Australia and in the top 100 courses in the world. The Club also features world class practice facilities with a large driving range, chipping, pitching/bunker and putting green.

We have hosted major international events including the Australian Open and recently returned to the national stage hosting the 2017 ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.

The Club prides itself on its international standard golf course, fine cuisine and first class clubhouse and facilities.

PGA Coaching Professional - Daniel Blackwell Daniel Blackwell has been a member of the Professional Golfers Association of Australia since 2007. Completing his PGA traineeship at the Tasmania Golf Club, Daniel embraced the calling of becoming a leading golf coach in the industry. After being approached and appointed the Head Teaching Professional position at the highly distinguished Royal Adelaide Golf Club in 2013, Daniel has implemented numerous successful coaching programs for the members and the public alike.

His enthusiasm and skill of having his students achieve results quickly led him to being awarded the South Australian Teaching Professional of the Year in 2014 and most recently listed in Australian Golf Digest’s rating of Top 50 coaches in Australia.

We recognise the importance of womens golf in not only shaping the players of the future but also providing opportunities for women to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle in a social environment.

Our membership categories are structured to support a progressive and inclusive environment, encouraging players to develop and improve their game as well as mix and socialise with a range of other members. Key to the success of our program is the social interaction and club environment of our womens program. Our aim is to not only nurture and produce good golfers but also to create friendship groups and lifelong friends through this great game.

The Club now has a designated Bridge Room which allows players of all standards to meet on a regular basis and enjoy the company of fellow members.

Clinics Our Green Girls and Lets Go Clubbing Clinics provides access to our PGA specialised teaching professionals. The clinics focus on all aspects of the game and are designed for the beginner golfer wishing to learn this great game.

Fairway Program The Club encourages women to join the Fairway Program at the conclusion of the Lets Go Clubbing clinics to continue the development of their game through access to the practice facilities, monthly clinics and access to our mentor program. Our mentors are carefully selected club members who will take you on course and introduce you to the Rules and Etiquette of the game. The mentors will also help you get involved in the social life of the Club, an important feature of any club. Monthly clinics conducted by our PGA teaching professional, Daniel Blackwell, are included in this program.

Membership Golf club membership is an ideal way to continually develop your game, enjoy the social activities of the club and develop lasting friendships with other keen golfers.

The Club has a range of membership options allowing you to focus on improving your golf. These options are included in this booklet and our Membership Secretary will happily guide you through the application process to ensure you achieve the desired outcomes.

The Green Girls and Let’s Go Clubbing Clinics are held mid-week or on Sundays throughout the year.

The Green Girls is a one hour mid morning golf introduction which includes morning tea.

The Let’s Go Clubbing Clinic, which are conducted by Daniel Blackwell, PGA Teaching Professional, are held midw-week over a 5 week period for an hour or over 3 weekends for a two hour period.

All Nomination Forms for Membership require a Proposer and Seconder who must be members of the Royal Adelaide Golf Club for at least three years.

Members of Royal Adelaide can pick up the Nomination Form from the Club Administration Office, request a copy to be posted or can download it from the Club’s Website under Club Information.

FAQs WHAT DO I BRING TO THE CLINICS? It’s advisable to bring water, sunscreen and dress according to the Club’s dress code.

Golf shoes or sandshoes are permitted for the Clinics.

If you have your own golf clubs please bring these otherwise the Club does have clubs you can utilise.

WHAT ARE THE CLUB’S DRESS REGULATIONS? RAGC prides itself on upholding certain traditions of the game and we view dress standards as such. At all times, any adults accompanying a junior either in the clubhouse or on course must adhere to the same dress regulations. The Club’s Dress Regulations are as folllows: •

Shirts must have collars. Golf turtle neck shirts or skivvies are acceptable.

Shirts must be tucked in unless the shirt is expressly tailored to hang loose in which case the shirt must be no longer than hip height.

Sockettes or ankle socks are to be substantially white or of a colour that matches the predominant colour of the golfer’s outfit. Dress socks are to be plain white or white with a Club logo.

Shorts must be tailored and worn with a belt. Cargo shorts (ie shorts with patch pockets sewn onto the side) are not permitted.

Denim clothing, track tops and leisure suits are not permitted.

Logos on shirts are to be no larger than pocket size. Shirts with messages, cartoons, loud advertising slogans are not permitted.

All tattoos must be covered at all times on the Links and in the Clubhouse.

CAN I USE THE PRACTICE FACILITIES? The practice facilities are complimentary and operate from 7.00am to 3.00pm daily.

Practice facilities include the driving range, two pitching areas and the practice green.

Practice balls can be found in bins in between the trees near the driving range.

CAN I BRING A GUEST? Yes you can bring guests to join the clinics, however you are unable to bring guests as part of the Fairway Program.

Members are permitted to introduce guests as per the Club Rules and By-Laws.
