Goal: Create a sustainable environment Objective: Have the school follow LEED Gold guidelines to create a sustainable learning environment.
Goal: Create a sense of ownership for the student in their day to day time at the school. Objective: Give students a choice with a variety of seating choices, customizable areas, and interactive and collaborative work and play areas.
Goal: Create easy to navigate building Objective: Way-finding will be incorporated into the functionality of the school, the hallways, and classrooms to create a space that can be easily navigated.
Goal: Have the school environment support low income students in the Roanoke city area. Objective: Spaces for students to get aid, which include: food pantry, therapy offices, learning disability testing centers and after school care.
Goal: Have classrooms accommodate all different types of learners Objective: Design classrooms and work areas in a variety of different ways to accommodate every student
