NEXT Beauty Company Located in New York City Fall 2021 6 Weeks Revit - Enscape - Photoshop NEXT Beauty Company is located in hustle and bustle of New York City. NEXT Beauty Company is the next generation of beauty. The start-up is dedicated to clean beauty, that embraces all walks of life and celebrates the individual greatness of their customers. When you hit the age of experimenting with makeup you try everything from the newest trends to the brightest colors to stand out while not really knowing what each product but overtime your becoming more educated on the topic of makeup and your skills become more refined. This concept was taken into the account with the progression through the floors such as hierarchy of offices throughout the 7th and 8th floor. Playful and more sophisticated motifs were combined to through out the selection of furniture and material finishes. The color palette reflects the concept of refinement through the selection of pink/purple and warm tone neutrals.

The spatial organization within the space takes the ideas of progression and hierarchy as you walk though it. Each conglomerate is grouped together to create community with fellow workers and as you walk through the building you will travel up the working chain up the CEO. The connection between the 7th and 8th floor is aided by the monumental staircase and spaces with similar functions that help to keep the flow of the space.

Operations and Owner Team Space
Each team is split up within their departments. This gives the opportunity for more collaboration and mentor-ship between the workers and their bosses. Each team is given two small meeting rooms, one medium meeting room, work spaces for assigned or unassigned work as well as the bosses private office. The teams are split into Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations and owners.
Wildcard Space The Wildcard space serves as an educational space that users can come and learn how to use NEXT’s beauty products. This space is directly next to the product development room, so those who are using the products can see the process from ideas to the physical product.

Shank Hall Renovation
Shank Hall Renovation Located on the Virginia Tech Campus Spring 2021 4 Week Project Revit - Photoshop The concept for the newly renovated English Department located in Shank Hall at Virginia Tech was derived from the Images that the Kaleidoscope creates. As a metaphor for elements that go into the final product of a piece of writing. When writing a story you have elements like the plot line, characters, illustrative backgrounds, developments, etc. that come together to create a beautiful narrative that is individual to the writer. As a kaleidoscope takes individual colorful pieces and brings them together to create an image that is unique to the viewer. Taking the geometric forms and bright colors from the Kaleidoscope were used to aid in creating a welcoming and student driven space. Elements such as technology screens, mobile furniture, and active learning classrooms aid in creating a space for students and faculty to collaborate.

Atrium Axon The atrium is the community hub for Shank Hall. The design helps to aid students everyday lives from studying in groups or individually. The left side of the atrium is an informal working environment with modular furnishings, while the right side is a traditional working environment with sit-down tables and bar seating.

Sea Salt Holistic Day Spa
Sea Salt Holistic Day Spa Located in Porto Venere, Italy Fall 2021 6 Weeks Revit - Enscape - Photoshop The Sea Salt Spa is a holistic spa that aids in the mental, physical health, and well-being of those with multiple sclerosis. The spa is located in Porto Venere, Italy adjacent to the coastline of the Ligurian Sea and Porto Venere National forest. The word SPA came from the Roman translation of “health or healing through water”. With that in mind, the inspiration for the Sea Salt Day Spa was taken from water. Hydro therapy is highly effective for those with multiple sclerosis. Mental tranquility is created from water sounds which makes individual’s more aware of their surroundings. Water is fluid and free-flowing with harmonious aspects. The spatial planning creates a flowing experience for the user during their time at the spa. Sustainable materials and furnishing were chosen to help aid in creating a healthy environment for those with Multiple Sclerosis.

The Residential space features an open kitchen, living, and dinning room. The residential living quarters is universally designed to accommodate accessibility for all user types. Universally designed elements include wheelchair access under the sink and stove, varying counter-top heights, and raised stove and dishwasher.
