TWO WEEKS AWAY! ANNUAL MEMBER CRAWFISH BOIL!

The Annual Member Crawfish Boil is about two weeks away on Saturday, April 12 from 11 AM until 2 PM at Hurricane Alley in the East Bank District!

All active members receive an invitation for two for all-you-can-eat crawfish and jambalaya from Shaver's Catering. We will have water and soft drinks for members and guests, and alcohol and other food options will be available for purchase at any of the restaurants in the East Bank. Members will be able to purchase additional tickets for guests for $20 (includes 3 lbs of crawfish).

INDY BOWL JUNIOR TENNIS CLASSIC RETURNS IN APRIL

The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic returns to Shreveport-Bossier on April 5-6. The USTA Level 5 Open tournament brings boys and girls ages 10-18 to Shreveport-Bossier for the two-day tournament! Over 125 players from 13 different states across the country flocked to Shreveport in 2024. Register by clicking the button below!

INDEPENDENCE BOWL DONATES $10,000 TO STARBASE LOUISIANA

Amid federal funding negotiations, Starbase locations nationwide are facing a lack of funding and are in search of donors to keep the program running. The Independence Bowl Foundation and Extra Yard for Teachers have committed to donating $10,000 to the Starbase Louisiana Barksdale Air Force Base branch.

“Barksdale Air Force Base is a pillar of our community, and the Starbase program is so important in providing opportunity to our local youth. We are proud to donate to this program and assist them and the tremendous teachers who show these kids the world of STEM,” said Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Executive Director Missy Setters.

“The Independence Bowl is proud to have such strong ties to Barksdale and the United States military, and we thank Starbase for all they do for the youth in our community and across the country.”

2025 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOTED IN

In the first female-to-female succession of Chair of the Independence Bowl Foundation, Sarah Giglio was handed the reigns as 2025 Chair of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl by the 2024 Chair, Claire Rebouche.

“I am so excited to be starting my year as the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Chair,” exclaimed Giglio.

“It is such an honor to be trusted with this role. As a longtime college football fan and a fan of our community’s bowl game specifically, it is a dream come true to be able to lead this wonderful organization this year.”

The full 2025 Executive Committee and Board of Directors was voted in at the Independence Bowl Foundation Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, March 13 and features some of the top leaders in the Shreveport-Bossier City Community. Our bowl spans over six decades, and the Independence Bowl Foundation is the main catalyst for our success! The Independence Bowl Foundation is an organization consisting of numerous volunteer committees, which carry out all of its functions, drawing upon its more than 350 members. Memberships are open for anyone who would like to become a part of the 11th most-historic bowl game in college football and start as low as $200.
