A New Link in My Life’s Journey

dear friend of mine, Shauna Kossoff, invited me to attend a meeting of the Irvine Ho-

listic Chamber of Commerce a few years ago. As the President of that group, she enticed me with

an invitation that included a meal at a casual yet small café in an office building in downtown

Irvine. I took her up on the invitation. The night

of the meeting came, and she was not able to

attend, but I didn’t let that stop me as it was on my

calendar, and I was deeply drawn by my instinct to be

there. There are no accidents in life, only opportunities.

I slowly wandered into the meeting not knowing any-

one and found a place to sit within the group that was

chatting amicably around a large square table. I caught the eye of a lady seated nearby, introduced myself and began to chat. Nervously,

I had begun my participation in the Holistic

Chamber of Commerce.

There were a few more monthly meetings in the

Irvine building and we were on the move to a new location and a new name. We began meeting at Ivy’s Bridge to Better Health in Old Tustin and

then were given a new name. The Tustin Holistic

Chamber of Commerce was born. Ivy’s is a health

food store with a small café featuring delicious

fresh soups, salads and sandwiches and appealed to

our group of holistic members.

Time moved forward, Shauna retired as President, and I

other. I have found many new friends along the way and

the past few years and have become a public speaker,

But it’s all as I intended, whether I was conscious of it or not.

Really? How is that?

And who is the “I” in that sentence?

chances are you know. You’ve picked it up along the way

because you’re a conscious

person. You’re not just floating along in life as a slave to

your first five senses or your ego, moving unconsciously towards pleasure and away from pain…

You’re aware of and are cul-

tivating a rich inner life… you

You respond more instead of reacting, which allows your

heart time to override the mind when it goes into survival mode, even when there’s no danger to you.

Which fills you with joy because that alignment feels so good.

Alignment with what, though? Alignment with Love. Alignment with Source, God, the Holy Spirit… with Gaia, with

the Ascended Masters of all races, including living beings everywhere. EVERYwhere. All Life.

The All. Of which you are an individuated fractal so you could have this human

experience. This painful, wonderful, horrible, lovely, retched, uplifting, soul-touching experience.

Now, can you objectively prove we’re all One, or that you’re

God? Perhaps yes, if you’re

fluent in quantum physics, or perhaps not, which is fine,

because you don’t have to

prove anything to anybody.

You’re having the experience

you want to have, and you

should have it and relish it all

feel so much… is all mine. Even the demons of my ego –

watch out! – or the beautiful flow of my intuition – watch

in! – whatever works for me to have the best human experience possible that I want to have.

When I hear or feel the anger and frustration of others

the places in life where I get stuck. I let them be them. I empathize, without giving sympathy.

Most importantly, I see them as their best self. Their

highest self. Their God-created, loving-soul Self. Their universally sparkly shiny Self that came into this body

and will leave it to wake from this dream of life and know there truly is no death, ever.

I can’t love you any more than I love myself, and there-

fore… I love you lots! Lots and lots and lots. And why not

This is the final issue of Radiance – Where The Soul Path Is Lit. It was a decision made at the highest levels of intuition, of Spirit, who is calling me elsewhere. Nature, for sure. So far, my move to the country with my life partner has been exciting, hard, a lot of learning and expansion. We’re learning how to deal with snakes – some you want, some you don’t; nightly howling coyotes, pigs and goats getting loose from the neighbors’ land; UFO activity, according to some of our recent guests, in a sky so clear you can see the Milky Way; deep, multidimensional connections with animals and trees on sacred land that infuses our purpose; in a fairly conservative town I’ve begun writing uniting articles in the local paper; we’re volunteering at a local animal sanctuary that uses four blind horses to work with people with anxiety; most of all, I’m really into my relationship with myself, in which I am gifted with a partner who reflects back all the love I can absorb. I was likely born into it as I was born into this lifetime as a micro premie in the 70s. My conscious awareness of something beyond happened at age 5 or 6 when there was a death in the family (the first for me) and an elemental or otherworldly multi-dimensional being who “lived” in the pear tree in our backyard comforted and “talked” to me about death and dying. I didn’t know what an empath was or that I was one and the elemental helped me understand the sadness-grief everyone around me was feeling. In some way or another that elemental spirit has always been with me. Oh, and earlier at age 2 or 3, I nearly drowned in a well-attended pool. I got pulled in by small waves and slipped under on the shallow steps then saw a vision of Christ before or while a relative somehow saw me from the other end of the pool and swam to pull me out of the water. The Energy of Crystals I

n this last issue of Radiance as we say goodbye to a resource that is near and dear to my Heart, I want to talk about something that is equally near

and dear to me, and that is Crystals. Crystals have called to me my whole life, and now I get to share them and their energy with all of you.

Whether you are simply looking to relax a little bit, or to find your souls’

purpose and live the life that you incorporated on earth to fulfill in a destiny contract, Crystals are here to give you the back up and support that you need.

Everything is energy. This has been confirmed by the scientific commu-

nity, and while some are still arguing over whether one type of energy can

influence a similar energy in a different sphere, the evidence in the spiritual community is pointing strongly to YES.

This attitude of openness and acceptance of energetic principals is

Walk In the Light of the

process of “repairing ceramics traditionally with lacquer and gold, leaving a gold seam where the cracks were.”

Similarly, when life seems to fall apart around us, we can

The Path of

Enlightenment Through

Ayahuasca

he first time I heard about ayahuasca was

when I was studying English in college, and

one of my classmates asked me if I knew anyone who had consumed it.

Perhaps because it is something forbidden (taboo) for my extremely Catholic family, it

generated a great deal of interest in me. But

until I met another person with motor disabilities named Ainoa, I was able to learn more about the benefits of these plants.

Since my adolescence I have researched all the drugs that have been created for the improvement of my condition called spinal muscular atrophy, which consists of the death of mo-

tor neurons due to the lack of a protein in the

nerves. It is neurodegenerative, like sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and those kinds of ailments.

Unfortunately, treatments for spinal muscular

atrophy have not yet been approved in my country to be distributed free of charge by health

services, which is why from a young age I de-

cided to consume alternative treatments such

as homeopathy, from which I obtained positive effects; however, it is slower.

When I started reading about marijuana and

its benefits, I discovered that it regenerated

neurons so I agreed to consume marijuana and CBD to know what effect it would have on my

body. Since childhood I had been the subject of

experimentation with different interventions, so why not try natural herbal substances to know how they reacted with my body?

I smoked marijuana for 3 days, but my body

only relaxed, there was no significant change as there was with CBD, which helped me feel

muscle tone in my legs and enabled me to move my feet a little. (Unfortunately I couldn’t contin-

ue with the treatment because this rehabilitation

service is very expensive in my country, Mexico.)

I’ve lived with motor and mobility issues, but what was killing me was the depression and

anxiety I was experiencing. It was like a living

hell, something that did not allow me to move 38

forward and that tormented me every day, which is why I decided to go to a psychiatrist, who guided me and taught me to meditate.

There I learned that even though my body is dependent on a wheelchair, I can be free through mind and spirit.

It was at that moment that I began to travel to distant

places where the destiny was to meet my being. I have

made a lot of trips inward, however, the most impactful was the trip I made through ayahuasca.

For others it has been a platform to reach you, grow you, heal you and simply connect with your energies. How magnificent is that?
