DARSHAN OF THE LORD AND HOW TO DO IT

To come and see Krsna, is always an exciting meditation for a devotee. But like everything in Bhakti-yoga, there is a proscribed way to do it. The proper manner in which one should take darshan of the Lord is described in Srimad Bhagavatam 2 2 13:

"The process of meditation should begin from the lotus feet of the Lord and progress to His smiling face The meditation should be concentrated upon the lotus feet then the calves, then the thighs, and in this way higher and higher. The more the mind becomes fixed on different parts of the limbs one after another, the more the intelligence becomes purified "

RVasuttama prabhu, a Prabhupada disciple from Benelux, is a professional painter and restorer, and he has already started on the entrance hall and staircase to the second floor

It will be a metamorphosis that will give additional splendor to the castle! After the entrance hall and staircase, we also want to paint the Temple Room and the two adjacent rooms, the Blue Room and the Lila Room. We need extra hands for all this major work! if you have some free time in the near future and a liking for painting & renovation, please get in touch via email address service@radhadesh.com.

When Lord Jagannatha is on His Ratha-yatra cart and is moving along the road, at every step there is a loud presentation of prayers and songs chanted by large assemblies of brahmanas. Hearing their hymns Lord Jagannatha is very favorably disposed towards them. He is the ocean of mercy and the true friend of all the worlds. May that Jagannatha Swami, along with His consort Lakshmi, who was born from the ocean of nectar, be the object of my vision.

JANMASHTAMI

16August

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, whose transcendental pastimes enchant the hearts of millions. We honour this auspicious day with celebrations filled with devotion and love

UpcomingEvents

Janmashtami is more than a festival it’s a spiritual homecoming. It reminds us that God is personal, playful, and present, and that He appears whenever we truly seek Him. In a world often clouded by confusion and conflict, Krishna’s life offers clarity,

In the village of Gokul, little Krishna once heard a fruit vendor calling out, “Fruits! Fresh fruits!” Inspired by His mother Yashoda’s example of trading grains for goods, Krishna filled His tiny hands with grains and ran to the vendor. But as He ran, most of the grains slipped through His fingers, leaving only a few by the time He reached her Despite the meager offering, the vendor was enchanted by Krishna’s divine beauty and innocent charm. Overwhelmed with affection, she gave Him a full basket of fruits. Krishna, delighted, ran home with His treasure. When the vendor looked into her basket, she found it overflowing not with fruits, but with dazzling jewels.

This pastime reveals Krishna’s loving nature: when we offer Him even a little, with sincerity and devotion, He returns it a thousandfold. It’s not the quantity, but the heart behind the offering that pleases Him.
