Dear Reader,
This summer was filled with wonderful events, and this issue is packed with memories from our recent celebrations. I want to sincerely thank all of you for your incredible efforts during the Cultural Janmastami Festival Each of you played a key role in making the event so special. With your dedication, we welcomed over 5,500 guests who were touched by the divine presence of Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha, Sri Sri Jagannatha Baladeva & Srimati Subhadra, and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. A heartfelt thanks to Kumar and his family, Shyamapriya, and Rasacharya for their generous flower donations, and to the artists whose performances added so much joy
Looking ahead, we’re excited to celebrate Govardhana Puja and Diwali on 18th October. To help us plan, please register in advance at diwalidurbuy.be. The schedule will be shared soon
Thank you once again for your continued support and service
Dear Radhadesh members, congregation, and friends, In 1966, in New York, Srila Prabhupada established the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, and introduced the 7 purposes of this wonderful movement. These seven purposes are:
1.
To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all people in the techniques of spiritual life.
2.
To propagate consciousness of Krishna as it is revealed in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam.
3. To bring the members of the Society together with each other and nearer to Krishna, the prime entity.
4.
To teach and encourage the sankirtan movement, congregational chanting of the holy name of God.
5.
To erect temples and holy places of transcendental pastimes dedicated to the Personality of Godhead.
6.
To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler, more natural way of life.
7. To publish and distribute periodicals, books, and other writings to enlighten society with Krishna consciousness.

To come and see Krsna, is always an exciting meditation for a devotee But like everything in Bhakti-yoga, there is a proscribed way to do it The proper manner in which one should take darshan of the Lord is described in Srimad Bhagavatam 2 2 13:
"The process of meditation should begin from the lotus feet of the Lord and progress to His smiling face. The meditation should be concentrated upon the lotus feet then the calves, then the thighs, and in this way higher and higher The more the mind becomes fixed on different parts of the limbs one after another, the more the intelligence becomes purified."
RVasuttama prabhu, a Prabhupada disciple from Benelux, is a professional painter and restorer, and he has already started on the entrance hall and staircase to the second floor.
It will be a metamorphosis that will give additional splendor to the castle! After the entrance hall and staircase, we also want to paint the Temple Room and the two adjacent rooms, the Blue Room and the Lila Room. We need extra hands for all this major work! if you have some free time in the near future and a liking for painting & renovation, please get in touch via email address service@radhadesh.com.
KARTIK
7thOctober
Offer a candle in this most auspicious month of Kartik. Every morning and evening in Radhadesh there will be the opportunity
UpcomingEvents
THE MONTH OF KARTIK
Kartik is not just a month. It is a pilgrimage of the heart, a season where the divine child plays in every corner of the temple, and the soul remembers its eternal home.
Ghee lamps flickering like stars fallen to earth. Each flame whispers the name of Krishna, each offering a thread in the garland of surrender
It is the time when Srimati Radharani reigns and hearts bloom like lotuses in Her honor Devotees give up their favorite indulgences not in austerity, but in love offering the sweetness of restraint to the sweetest of all.
Celebrate Kartik at home!
“In the month of Kartika, which is very dear to Sri Hari, one who bathes early in the morning attains the merit of bathing in all places of pilgrimage. Anybody who offers the Lord a ghee lamp in the month of Kartika, O brahmana, becomes free from all kinds of sins, such as killing a brahmana, and he goes to the abode of Lord Hari.” (Brahma khanda ). Therefore, you can observe this at your home
Cleanliness is next to godliness
Cleaning your home thoroughly followed decorating it with lamps, flowers, candles, etc on specific days mentioned above especially on Deepavali
Offering
Offering a ghee lamp/Deep Daan to a picture of Lord Damodar and Mother Yashoda followed by singing of Damodarastakam can be done every evening by the family in the evenings.
Start young
Children can gather together and enact a play depicting the beautiful Damodar Lila and can play games.
Celebrate Kartik at home!
Focus on Srimati Radharani
Individually you can observe the Urja Vrata by giving up one very favorite food item like sweets, etc, and offering it as a sacrifice for the pleasure of Urjeshwari Shri Radha so that She blesses you with the Urja or spiritual energy to perform your devotional services without any complacency.
Parikrama
You can do virtual Vrindavan parikrama and relish the glorious pastimes of Shri Radha- Damodar.
Meditate
You can increase the quota of rounds of the Mahamantra you do every day.
Reading
You can read Srila Prabhupada’s books more or can form small reading groups on WhatsApp to ensure the continuity of your reading.
Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, at Radhadesh with a beautiful evening of devotion, performances, and festive joy
