IV. Transmission system

1. Main movement

Motor of this machine is of 2.2K W power and 2800rpm speed, it transmits byv-belt and makes the spindle speed reach 4500rpm.

2. Feed movement

Feed movement changes speed by gear, proceeds chain transmission to feed roller and reaches feed speed of 13.5m/min.

3. Up and down of worktable

Lift chain up and down by handwheel (6), worm-gear and worktable to make theworktable up and down.

V.Main structures and functions of the machine

This machine is composed by action body, worktable, planning blade shaft, lifting mechanism of worktable, rear- -and-front feed rollers and electric system, etc..The action body is a fission member(left and right lateral plates 1.8). above installsmain arbor feeding mechanism, i.e. smooth roller assembly(15)and gear rollerassembly(17), on the top equips chip cleaner guard to prev ent from dust. Worktable(13)is in the middle of the action body and moves up and down along the worktableguide rail(7). Thickness of working spares relies on relative distance of worktablesurface and blade axle edge. its distance is obtained by the lifting handwheelmechanism (6) and shows by scale plate.

Feeding of timbers achieves by front and rear feed rollers. its feeding speedreali zes by slowdown assembly Blade axle(16)is set with four blades and transmitsdirectly by motor belt (9).

VI.Electric system

This machine supplies electricity by the 50HZ- -380V alternating mains supply ofgeneral native use. Electromotive starting of this machine all adopts button pressing. Before starting the machine. reliable earthing of it is necessary.

VII. Adjustment and commissioning of the machine

1. Adjustment of the front and rear feed rollers

Original position of front and rear feed rollers is regulated by screws and nuts.Generally lower generatrix of the front feed roller should be regulated to positionlower than the main arbor cutting circle (i.e. blade edge) 1-1.5mm and lowergeneratrix of the rear feed roller should be regulated to position lower than the mainarbor cutting circle 0.5-0.8mm in order to guarantee enough tensioning force of feedrollers.

2. Adjustment of the main arbor blade

Blade edges must be regulated to the same circumference to insure precision ofprocessed workpiece. Aligning tool attached with the machine can be used in holdingblade to reach the required standard.

Blade is installed in holding blade groove, bottom of blade and cutter body drillhave two o8 holes. Take care in installing blade to avoid cutting hand of blade. Mainarbor is a rev olution component in high speed, dynamic balancing measures is takenin processing main arbor components to guarantee normal running of the main arborand prevent machine vibration caused by imbalance of the main arbor, meanwhile, both sword section and bolts adopt weight counterbalance method. So changing ofblade, sword section and bolts anytime must be prevented to insure balance of themain arbor, if necessary, planning blade must adopt weight

counterbal ance in pair, quality difference of blades in a pair cannot beyond 2g.

1. Adjustment of worktable position relative to the main arbor

Lifting mechanism of worktable realizes by manual structure, i.e. turninghandwheel to process workpieces of different thickness. Since between worm-gearsprobably has gap, lower the worktable to thickness thicker than that of workpieceonce regulate, then lift up to the required position, processing can be done.

2. Commissioning of the machine

Regulate each part well before commi ssioning. and fasten the blade to preventblade flying in running. Switch on the power supply, check whether revolution of themain arbor and feed roller is right, then thicknessing after idle running.

VII. Mai ntenance of the machine

1. Lubrication system of the machine

Each part of this machine should be kept with suitable lubricant to guaranteegood revolution of kinematic pair.

Lubrication parts of the machine is as follows: Lubrication instruction list

Bearing of planning blade assemble(16 )

7 Bearing of gear roller (17). Smooth roller(15) and carrier roller assembly jockey pulley (12)

2. Maintenance of the machine:

(1) Preparation and check before running

a. Check whether all pressing bolts, blades and sword section are fixed.

b. Check whether revolution of the main arbor and feed -in and feed-out rollers isright or nimble or not.

c. Regulate height of feed-in and feed-out rollers relative to the worktable well toguarantee reliable operation of feeding.

d. Check whether voltage of power supply reaches the stipulated requirement, ifnot. don't start the machine.

(2) Safety notices in use

a. Excess and force thicknessing is forbidden.

b. Don't feed and process until well adjustment of the worktable.

c. Starting of the machine without any reference is forbidden except the operator.d. Once failure of the machine happens. check it after the running stops.

(3) Daily maintenance

a. Check all parts of the machine at any time.

b. Do complete clearance of wood dust to keep clean of the machine after eachshift,

c. Exposed surface should be oiled and the whole machine be sealed with plasticsif not in use for a long time.

(4) Regular maintenance and check

Make sure the regular maintenance and check cycle by factors such as the usecondition of the machine and quality of the processing wood. etc.. so as to prolongservice life and destroy hidden trouble or accident of the machine.
