4. Main structure of the machine and functions

 The machine consists of its body, worktable, arbor and its parts, pressing device, elevating systems of the worktable, feeding device, speed change device and electric system.

 The whole body and separable structural parts assemble. The upper part fixes right to left board to support the cutter body and feeding-in and feeding-out rollers, and also fixes pressingdevice, anti-kickback device and dusting device. The worktable is in the center of the machine, moving up and down along the right and left board. The thickness of the processed workpiecedepends on the distance between the surface of the worktable and the edge part of the blade.

It is adjusted by turning the handwheel according to the scale. The process of feeding is realized by front and rear feeding rollers. It’s feeding speed is controlled by triangle belt and gear device with the five steps of deceleration system transmitting to feeding device. Two kinds of feeding speed can be got by changing belt.

 The arbor with 4 spiral shaft reaches to the needed speed through the change speed of the belt of the motor and the arbor wheel.

5. Electric system

The machine itself can be supplied by the general purpose power source, 380V, 50Hz, alteratingcurrent. Starting the machine (with the sign of earth connection) can be operated by pressing button.

6.3

Adjustment of the pressure of springs for the front and rear feeding roller

The springs have the function of feeding and pressing. The pressure of the springs should not adjusted too tight. The springs should be changed if they have not enough pressure. If the springs are adjusted too tight, they lose the gaps among the springs, in this way, at the working hour, thepenetration of cutting tool is too much to be easy to cause damaging spare parts.

6.4 Adjustment of the lower pressing roller

6.4.1 The lower pressing roller has the main function of assisting to feed smoothly to reduce energy consumption.

6.4.2 After a period of the machine running, some spare parts might have been normally worn, so the cooperating gaps have been changed and should be adjusted in time. Adjust the top of thelower pressing roller higher within 0.10 than the worktable, and ensure the higher part of the lower roller of parallelling with the worktable. Clean the resin in time on the worktable and the lower roller, or effect the processing preciseness or cause not feeding out smoothly.

6.5 Adjustment of the front and rear rollers

6.5.1 The pressing device of the initial part of feeding presses the workpiece hardly when working,in order to avoid the wood board jumping. It plays important role when especially processing the thin wood board, and also has the function of chips breaking and chips guiding. When adjusting the pressing device of the initial part of feeding, there are adjusting bolts on the seat of the feedingroller. Adjust the bolts to change the height position of the pressing device.

6.5.2 The pressing device of the feeding out has the function of pressing workpiece and shavingresidue. When adjusting the pressing device of feeding-out, adjust the bolt on the triangle steel behind the pressing device. Adjust the bolts to change the height position of the pressing device.

6.5.3 When adjusting the pressing devices of the feeding-in and feeding-out, adjust the bolts on the two sides in turn, to ensure the height of the pressing devices on the parallel line.

6. Adjustment of the worktable

7.1 After a period of normally running-in, there are gaps occurred among the elevating system tocause the worktable error, which shows the processed board not have the same thickness on thetwo ends. Use the coordinate scale to adjust the surface of worktable and the surface of the arborto have the same number on the right and left.

7.2 Loose the bolts of the right and left nuts under the screw rods, turn the right and left nuts to change the right and left height position of the worktable.

7. Maintenance

Keep the parts of the machine in good lubrication, ensure the machine to rotate well, prolong theoperating time. The chart below explains the lubricated parts of the machine:

1 Chain

2 Deceleration system, gear wheels

3 Handwheel assembly, each side of pressing roller

4 Worktable runner, elevating system, nuts

5 Worm gears box, handwheel stand

8. Trial run

3 base grease

Before working on the machine, carefully check every parts of the machine in good position, ensure every parts in good lubrication, secure the earth connection. Connect the power, start itching switch, check the rotating direction of the spindle and feeding rollers right or not. Then, letthe machine runs without load for five minutes, confirm that there is not any strange noise, checkthe temperature of the arbor not 600C before the machine starts working.

9. Using the machine and its maintenance

10.1 Often check the blades, feeding system and bolts. If there is anything trouble, remove it immediately.
