Chapter 1: Brief introduction

RBS series of manual feeding planer can work on plane, side, slope and chamfering etc. The prolonged worktable makes sure straightness of work piece, so they are widely used in all kinds of processing of furniture, wagon box, model and large work piece.

Chapter 2: Main structure

1. The machine is made up of main body, worktable, foundation, guide plate, blade shaft, motor, drive part, and electrical system.

2. The machine is assembled by the main body and divided structures. The blade shaft is supported by bearing seat in the foundation and the worktable by dovetail and foundation. The planing depth is controlled by front and rear handles. Connected with the bearing seat, width of the guide plate can be changed through nut. The blade shaft and the motor can have optional speed through transmission by different size of pulleys.

Chapter 5: Adjustment of blade

1. The size of the blades must be the same. And they must be in the same height when being polished.

2. The main spindle rotates at high speed. To keep it in good condition and to avoid vibrating caused by unbalanced inertia, the dynamic balancing measures of the spindle is taken and the weight of the blade pressers, blades and screws is also balanced. So to keep the balance of the spindle, arbitrary change of blades and blade pressers is forbidden. If it has to, the weight of the blades and the blade pressers must be balanced in groups. The disparity of weight among each group must be less than 2g.

3. After all the blades are supported, tighten the bolts little by little crosswise all around. Do not totally fasten one bolt totally at once.

Chapter 6: Adjustment of worktable

Loosen the bolt, turn the handle and then fasten the bolt.

Chapter 7: Testrun

Before using, examine every part carefully. Repair the distorted parts and fasten the loosen screws owing to bruising and collision during transport. Make sure all parts are well lubricated and earth wire connected effectively. Power and switch on to check the directions of blade shaft and feeding. Leave the machine running unload for five minutes. Do not start working until you hear no noise and the temperature of the blade shaft is lower than 60.

Chapter 8: Use and maintenance
