Soorya Avarjana, the 2nd installation ceremony of the Rotaract Club of KDU Southern Campus, was a grand event that marked the beginning of a new chapter for the club. Held on the 28th of January 2023 in the Main Auditorium of Kotelawala Defense University Southern Campus, the event was attended by many other Rotaract clubs who were invited to the ceremony.

The ceremony was held to inaugurate Rtr Imandee Jayawardena and her Board of Officials for the Rotary International year 2023 The event was graced by distinguished guests such as the Chief guest, the rector of the KDU Southern Campus, Major General LCR Jayasooriya RSP ndc psc, and the Guest of Honour, Senior Deputy Dean, Faculty of Defense and Strategic Studies, Commander HPM Hewawasam psc Special guests such as District Rotaract Representative Rtn Rtr PP Ahamed Hussain, District Rotaract Representative elect Rtr PP Sathma Jayasinghe, and District Rotaract Chairperson Rotarian. Past President Farzana Khan also graced the occasion with their presence. The event was a grand success, with Rtr. Imandee Jayawardena taking on her role as the new president of the Rotaract Club of KDU Southern Campus
