Racine

Racine Art Museum (RAM) is a nationally recognized institution that presents exhibitions and programming curated around contemporary art, craft, and design. Located in Racine, Wisconsin, a historic community on the shores of Lake Michigan, it occupies two facilities—the Racine Art Museum, an expansive modern gallery with award-winning architecture on the downtown waterfront, and the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts (Wustum), an exhibition space and studio art center housed in a historic farmhouse surrounded by lawns and gardens.

We welcome approximately 50,000 guests from 40 states and 15 countries annually—making RAM a cultural and economic anchor for the region.

RAM is proud to play a central role in Wisconsin’s vibrant and fast-growing creative sector. Located in the state’s southeastern corner in a city known for innovation and invention, we sit at the crossroads of arts, culture, business, and technology. As a center for contemporary craft and design, we bring cultural experiences to diverse audiences. As a center for commerce and economic development, we use creative practice to promote place identity, enhance livability, drive tourism, and invigorate the entrepreneurial ecosystem. As a center for community and civic engagement, we cultivate ideas, build relationships, and foster positive change.

At its core, however, our work is rooted in the human experience. By providing a forum for artistic voices and perspectives, as well as space to collaborate and create, we offer residents and guests the unique opportunity to celebrate our humanity through shared, real-time moments—connecting us to the greater world, to our inner artists, and above all, to one another.

Together with our collaborators and partners still to come, we will shape a future fueled by creativity and connection—one that bridges discipline, geography, and generation, offering both artists and audiences a dynamic platform to engage with us in the space between
