Once upon a time, in a forest, there

was a fast hare named Harry and a slow tortoise named Toby.

Harry always bragged about how quick he was, while Toby took his time and stayed determined.

One day, Toby got tired of Harry’s boasting and said,

“Let’s have a race,

Harry. We’ll see who’s the fastest!”

The animals in the forest heard about the race and gathered to watch.

signalling the beginning of the race.

The race began, and Harry

dashed ahead, leaving Toby far behind.

“You’ll never catch up,

slowpoke!”

As Harry rushed ahead, confident

of

winning,

he took a break under a shady tree.

Toby stayed determined, ignoring distractions, and steadily moved forward.

After what felt like ages, Harry woke up from his nap.

Harry got scared when he didn’t see Toby. He ran fast to catch up at the finish line.

But as Harry approached the end, he

saw

Toby

already

crossing

the finish line with a steady and confident stride.

in the forest cheers and applause.

“I’m slow, but I never

“How did you do it, Toby?”

quit. I went step by step till the end. Remember, slow and steady wins, like I said.”

“You were right, Toby.

Congratulations on your win!”

From that day on, Harry stopped bragging

about speed, admired Toby’s determination,

and realised success comes from focus and persistence.
