George McCalman has always been curious about human identity. When he started illustrating, he engaged with a natural portal—trying to discover the identity of the folks he illustrated. Now, he brings that visual reporting to his monthly illustrated culture column.

Elizabeth Baddeley is the illustrator of many children’s books including The New York Times Best Seller I DISSENT. Baddeley uses her sketchbook as an outlet for expression between book projects that can last up to a year. She resides in Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband and one-year-old son.

As the company archivist and historian, SAMANTHA BRADBEER spends her days at Hallmark making sure that an accurate and varied record of corporate, family, and product history is preserved for future generations.

Laura Crehuet Berman has exhibited in over 125 galleries and museums around the world, and her work is represented by Cade Tompkins Projects, Long View Gallery, Olson-Larsen Gallery, Uprise Art and Zinc Contemporary. Berman regularly publishes large-scale monoprint projects with Pele Prints, St. Louis. She received her BFA from Alfred University and her MFA from Tulane University. Laura Crehuet Berman is a Professor at Kansas City Art Institute where she has taught printmaking and book arts since 2002. She publishes ‘Reflections on Color and Printmaking’ and runs ‘Prairieside Cottage and Outpost’, a family-friendly artist retreat in the Flint Hills region of Kansas.
