Course Introduction
Physiological Psychology explores the intricate relationship between biological processes and behavior, focusing on how the brain, nervous system, hormones, and genetics influence normal and abnormal mental functions. Topics include neuroanatomy, neural communication, sensory and motor systems, emotion, motivation, learning, memory, and the physiological bases of psychological disorders. Through an integrative approach, students gain insights into experimental methods and research findings that connect physiological mechanisms to psychological phenomena, laying the foundation for understanding how mind and body interact.
