Health Behavior Change explores the theories, principles, and practical strategies for promoting positive changes in health-related behaviors. The course examines psychological, social, and environmental determinants that influence behaviors such as physical activity, nutrition, substance use, and adherence to medical advice. Students will analyze evidence-based models of behavior change, including the Transtheoretical Model, Health Belief Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, and Social Cognitive Theory. Through case studies and applied projects, participants will gain skills in intervention design, communication, goal-setting, and evaluation, preparing them to facilitate healthier behaviors at individual, group, and community levels.
