Gynecology is a medical discipline focused on the health and diseases of the female reproductive system, encompassing both the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and external genitalia. This course covers the foundational principles of gynecological anatomy and physiology, common gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, infertility, infections, neoplasms, and pelvic floor dysfunctions, as well as preventive health care and screening. Students will also study contraception, menopause, and aspects of reproductive endocrinology, gaining skills in patient assessment, history-taking, physical examination, and the interpretation of diagnostic tests, all while incorporating evidence-based approaches to patient care and counseling.
