Course Introduction
Behavioral Medicine is an interdisciplinary field that explores the interactions between behavior, biology, and the environment in relation to health and illness. This course examines how psychological, behavioral, and cultural factors influence physical health, the onset and progression of disease, and treatment outcomes. Students will learn about behavioral interventions, stress management, prevention strategies, and the role of lifestyle choices in chronic illnesses. The course integrates concepts from psychology, medicine, and public health to develop a holistic understanding of patient care and the promotion of healthy behaviors within diverse populations.
