Students attending International Summer School between 30 June and 21 July 2026 will have a minimum of 10 hours of intensive English language learning per week.

Throughout the rest of the programme, the focus will be on putting the language learning into practice, immersing students in activities or subject specific electives delivered in English. This immersive approach gives students the potential to make rapid progress in their spoken and written English, focusing on fluency and usability. The curriculum will loosely follow the internationally recognised IELTS examination syllabus and is taught by experienced English tutors using a variety of creative teaching methods.

Students will be put into ability groups, based on a short test on arrival, to build foundational skills to be practised in activities and different scenarios.

Students will develop their English skills by working through a variety of tasks including written, speaking and listening, collaborative challenges, practical tasks and lots of application of language.
