What is a baby plan?
Your baby grows and changes so much during their first year, a baby’s first year plan documents their major milestones throughout their first year with multiple sessions, from the first days, to sitting up, to being able to stand, then celebrating their first birthday.
I offer multiple baby plan options to best fit your needs, or you can just choose to do a single session. To help make ordering easier, I have created several collections, or you may choose to order a la carte instead. All the pricing details may be found in this guide, but if you don’t see what you’re looking for, please ask, my printing labs carry a wide range of items.

What to Order?
We’ll be glad to help you decide what works best for you and your home. All images, of course, look great in “gift sizes” (8x10” and smaller). Gift prints are perfect for shelves and desktops, not so much for wall display. Smaller wall sizes (11x14” up to 16x20”) as well as the many collages we offer are intended for display above desks, chairs and in small rooms and hallways, as well as up staircases. Products 20”x20” and above work well in slightly larger areas, above love seats and small sofas, or in bedrooms and children’s rooms.

Retouching Fees:
All images are checked for color clarity, assistant removal, or background fill.
General skin portrait retouching is included. We do not permit clients to edit their own images.
The following retouching is not included, and upon request the following charges apply:

Payments
We accept payment by major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express), cash or check. A session is not considered booked until session fee has been paid. This ensures we will not schedule anyone else on your requested date. Should client be a no-show for their session, or cancel less than 48 hours before their scheduled session, a new session fee will be required to schedule another date.
No prints, artwork, or digitals shall be available until order has been paid in full. All decision makers must be present for ordering appointment, if another ordering appointment is needed, a $150 deposit is required to schedule the appointment, which becomes a print credit towards your order. We do offer payment plans upon request with a minimum 50% deposit.
Pricing at time of scheduling your session will be honored up to 60 days after session date. Prices are subject to change without notice and will no longer be honored after that time. If no order has been placed within 60 days of session, images shall be archived and there will be a fee of $150 to make them available for ordering. Due to the custom nature of photography, All Sales Are Final, once payment has been made in part, or in full, no changes may be made to the order with the exception of adding on additional items, and no refunds may be given.

The photographer always retains the original copyright and images, however when you purchase digital images you are granted the right for personal use. The images are high resolution allowing you to print on your own.
For the best quality we of course would rather you print through us using our Professional Labs as we can guarantee quality and longevity.

Tips for Your Ordering Appointment:
~Have a list of anyone you want to purchase gift prints for (such as grandparents, aunts, etc.)
~If sending cards, decide how many you will need before the appointment. If you tell us ahead of time what you would like written on your card (such as Welcome Baby, New Arrival, etc.) we can have the available templates already setup to just drop your favorite portraits into during your ordering appointment for quicker decision making.
~Have spots in mind where you will hang finished artwork, and take measurements. If you would like to see what your finished artwork will look like in that space, take a picture with a piece of paper taped to the wall, and we can create a mock up for you. (Examples below, left is mock up using a phone picture of the wall, right is the finished artwork on the wall.)

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q) How many images will be in my gallery to choose from?
A) Sessions can be anywhere from 2-3 hours for newborn and 6 week sessions, and up to 30 mins for 3 month through 1 year, so the amount of images captured depends on length of time, and how well your baby is doing during transitioning of the poses. A newborn session can have anywhere from 30-100 images captured, whereas a milestone session averages around 15-30 images captured. Maura will go thru your session images and eliminate any duplicates or blurry images and remove them prior to uploading your gallery. You will then see a "soft edit" and once you choose the images as part of your collection, final editing will begin.
Q) Do I have to purchase a collection in advance?
A) No, but it is strongly recommended. We offer a variety of options to make purchasing your images as easy as possible, so choosing a collection in advance helps simplify the process when ordering, but we understand that some clients may want to see their images before choosing a large package for the whole year. If this is you, we suggest picking the session only option for $499, then you may upgrade to one of our collections at your first ordering appointment only. If you miss the upgrade, pricing will be a la carte only for the rest of the year.
Q) “Can we order more later?”
A) Yes and no. Yes, we have the files you place any orders from saved in our archives, however you will pay more to order later as opposed to the day we do your ordering appointment since we charge a $150 retrieval fee. Get what you want today! We will gladly set up a no interest payment plan (up to one year). There are no guarantees in life, and even our archives may lose files someday – ordering prints ensures that you have those gorgeous images in hand for years to come!

Q) How quickly can I see the images?
A) Images are generally ready to see within a week of your session. With Covid19 we have switched from in person ordering appointments to instead providing online galleries so you can choose your images from the comfort of your own home**. We also offer the option of zoom meetings if you would like assistance in choosing your images or discussing available options for how your images will be printed or displayed, we can even create mock wall displays of your images on your walls. For studio sessions, we do offer the option of same day ordering upon request, we will have your session in the morning, take a quick break to load the images (feel free to grab lunch from one of the nearby food places while waiting) then ordering session to follow. We strongly recommend having someone available to watch your baby during your ordering appointment as we have found parents who are distracted seldom enjoy the process.
**Must pre-purchase a collection for online gallery option, clients who purchase session only are required to schedule a zoom meeting to view their images.
Q) “How long does it take to get my finished portraits?”
A) This is pretty amazing – our normal delivery time for our gorgeous prints is a minimum of three to four weeks, depending on your order. Once the order arrives, we give it a quality inspection before calling you about pick-up/delivery.
Q) “I missed my appointment, now what?”
A) We understand- life is so busy for us all. But to create the images and offer the highest level of service our clients have come to expect, we do require that you call and let us know, so that we can reschedule as soon as possible, so that we can photograph your child at that age. If you totally miss an age group, your Baby Plan is void and cancelled, and you do not get any end of the year collage nor any more sessions.

Displaying Your Artwork, Tips for Choosing a Frame and Location
Proper care of your artwork will determine whether it lasts for a couple of years or a lifetime. We pride ourselves on selecting archival quality whenever possible, and offering the knowledge of a custom framing background to help you choose the best options for framing and displaying your artwork.
We offer ready to display artwork to make things easier for our clients, or can recommend a local custom framer if we don’t have the style you’re looking for. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have about framing or displaying artwork.
We recommend framing loose prints to keep them protected, but as not all framing is equal, here are a couple of things you should know about protecting your precious portraits before heading to the store for a DIY frame:
Artwork should never be hung or placed in direct sunlight, and avoid very bright room light, as the UV rays will cause artwork to fade. The brighter the light, the faster the fading (both bright room lights and sunlight can fade a print in just a couple of years).
Whenever possible choose museum glass, or 99% UV protection glass/acrylic for your artwork. (The glass that comes with most standard frames is typically only around 45%)
Be aware of what is inside the frame with your print. The cardboard backing inside a standard frame is acidic and will eat away at the back of your print, causing it to become brittle over time (I’ve seen this first hand with older

photos), so you can either replace the cardboard with a piece of acid-free foam board, or if that’s not an option, use acid-free scrapbooking paper as a buffer between the back of your print and the cardboard so it’s not directly touching it.
To add extra protection for your prints, we do offer prints mounted on styrene, so you will not have to worry about the cardboard touching the back of your print. (Please note, not all DIY frames will have space to fit a mounted print. If you would like to use a frame you already own, we can take measurements to see if it will work or not.)
Prints should not be placed directly against the glass as it will cause them to stick over time and become damaged. Prints need a gap between the print surface and glass to allow them to ‘breathe’ during humidity and temperature changes throughout the year.
To give them this space, prints should either be matted (make sure it’s acidfree! Which most are nowadays) or have a glass spacer. Another benefit of matting your print is giving it space from the edges of the frame, wood frames contain acid which will damage prints, but with a mat, the print is protected while the mat takes the damage. (Mats should be replaced over time, it’s suggested to open the frame to clean the glass, and check the condition of the mats every few years.)
Our clients may choose to have small prints mounted on styrene with a border around them which will allow you to easily sit a mat over top to give them the space they need from the glass without any extra fussing. (For example, a 5x7” image will have a border to fit an 8x10” frame, and an 8x10” image will fit into an 11x14” frame.)
When matting an un-mounted print yourself make sure you are buying an acid free mat and acid free tape (scrapbooking tape is acid free). Then only tape the top of the print to the mat to allow for shifting from temperature and humidity changes. (If you tape the print all the way around, it will become warped.)

Some other things to consider when deciding where to display your artwork:
If you intend to hang your artwork on an exterior wall inside your home, be aware that outside temperature changes faster than room air, so can affect your artwork and cause it to warp or have condensation issues. For this reason it is suggested by the professionals to choose an interior wall to avoid those dramatic temperature fluctuations.
Artwork should not be hung above a fireplace. There are two major reasons for this, one is the soot and ash that comes out of the fireplace get onto the surface of your artwork and damage it, and two, the heat of a fireplace can both fade and damage your artwork.
If you still would like to be able to hang artwork above the fireplace, it will need to be removed to another room whenever you intend to light a fire, and not returned until after the wall above the fireplace has completely cooled. Do note that a chimney will fluctuate in temperature faster than a room wall because of the outside air flowing through, so may warp your artwork over time the same as choosing an exterior wall.
