GoingthroughthisEQTARoadmapismorethanjustcollecting informationtomakeadecisionabouttheresponsibleapplicationof quantumtechnology.Ithelpsorganizationsthinkaboutwherequantum technologycantakethem,whetherthatisdesirable,howtogradually gaincertaintyabouttheseideas,andwhatneedstobedonetorealize thatfuture.

TheEQTAhelpsorganizationsunderstandwhichdevelopmentstheyneedtofollow inthefieldofquantumtechnologyandwhetherandhowtheycaninitiateandsteer thesedevelopments.Someorganizationsmaydecidethattheyneedtogain experiencewithquantumtechnology.Othersmaydecidethatmanagement, employees,andotherstakeholdersshouldlearnandunderstandwhatquantum technologycanmeanfortheorganizationandinvolvethesegroupsactivelyin developingideas.AftercompletingtheEQTA,organizationsmaystartworking togetherormakeanefforttoachievestandardizationanddevelopethical frameworksandregulations.

BygoingthroughtheEQTA,organizationscanbetterunderstandtheimpactof geopoliticaldevelopmentsfortheapplicationofquantumtechnology.Theycan ensurethateducationrespondsinatimelymannertotheskillsneededtouse quantumtechnologyorthatserviceprovidersdevelopservicesthatmeettheir requirements.ThemostimportantpartofgoingthroughtheEQTAmaybethelast step:theevaluation.Thisinvolvesplanningevaluationofthedecision,whenlooking attheeffectofthemeasurestaken,andthenplanningfurthersteps.
