Iridescent
surfaces have been making a strong impact. It’s from the past few seasons and is now beginning to emerge at retail, with rainbow-like hues taking over surfaces as varied as textiles, ceramics, plastics, metal and glass.
Colours range from pastel shades to pearlescent, saturated aquatic greens, purples and blues through to midnight inky blacks.
Surfaces range from dry and gritty to matte, subtle sheens and high-shine mirror gloss.

Color is another
strong spotlight this year. Very much bold color plays on various materials, products and styles, with modern and also traditional technique. Blues and reds, the very much classic color palette is touched with new life.

Color is popular also because of the eye catching contrast palette. Especially the yellow / orange with darker muted blue / greens, on all kinds of styles and various materials. Purple of course is another catching up from fashion to interior.

and innocent is a popular charming simplicity style especially in young generation. With pastel color and rounded profile, nothing is sharp, always soft and joyful. It’s also a driver for new possibilities of materials for new purpose.

concrete figure, can be lovely and also functional. Some with much design sense, some are very cool. From small items as lamp, sounder and book holder to bigger furniture or pattern with all kinds of materials.

Artistic is always the topic for décor world, this year we see new ways to use / demo products as metal mesh weave and Formica HPL. New tech / material added into clay panel. Using the nowadays tech to make interiors decoration as a piece of art.

is also embodied in mimicking the real touch and look, especially some aged, rustic, oxide effect. Also possible to grab the real piece of material and give new life to it.

Kinddesign is acrossing all industries including our surfacing industry. Material mimic but with better performance, overcomes the shortage of the real ones with more possibility. Lots of the new material come from neuni-group association, and also from individual designers / artists.

drives new smart life. The open attitude of Chinese makes a big market in China of new smart products. In terms of materials, I see new super material, e.g. light and strong substrate, water proof fibers, etc. And of course the electricity or smart tech build in, with endless imagination.
