St. Regis guests soak up the reggae rhythm

concert at the Paul McCartney Auditorium, earning him the distinction of being the first reggae artist to ever perform there. His latest first occurred with an inspiring November performance in Denmark for the remembrance of Danish reggae artist, Natasha. His ever-evolving talent has seen him, along with band-mates Elvis Edwards, Jamal Browne, Daniel Medford, Tabitha Johnson and Rhesa Garnes, (Fully Loaded) become a popular feature at Barbados’ premier reggae events – Reggae on the Hill and Hennessy Artistry.

This season, Reggae Nights at The St. Regis started in late February, and Oyster Bay will be offering live cooking finger-food and beverage menus every Thursday and Friday from 8:00 p.m. till late. Seating is the usual arrangement of 10 VIP tables of 8-10 seats, each with minimum spend of QR 2,000 per table (reservation is required). Or 6 VIP tables of 4-6 seats, each with a minimum spend of QR 1,000 per table. Reggae fans rejoice as the everpopular Buggy Nhakente & the Fully Loaded Band are back in Doha for another beachfront season at The St. Regis’ opulent Oyster Bay. We leave our shoes in the sand and sway to the rhythm.

hree years on and Oyster Bay Live continues to top the weekend to-do lists of Doha partygoers and this comes as no surprise – as it’s one night out that’s stood the test of time. Featuring

the sweet melodies of 2016 Reggae Artist of the Year, lead singer Buggy Nhakente & the Fully Loaded Band are back with a fresh repertoire of island tunes and reggae favourites to take you into the night. A talented artist and reggae ambassador, Buggy Nhakente continues to connect with the spirit of his audience, performing across Canada, the U.K. and in over 50 cities in the U.S. Sharing a stage with celebrities such as Ja Rule, Ashanti, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Queen Ifrica, Buju Banton and more, Buggy has the distinction of being the first Barbadian artist to perform at Jamaica’s premiere conscious reggae show – Rebel Salute in 2009. In April 2011, he also completed a short tour in Liverpool, England where he gave a scintillating
