SPRING CITY-- A large crowd gathered at the site of the new Veterans Memorial adjacent to the newly-restored community center to witness its dedication to all of Spring City’s veterans. Courtney Syme, Spring City Veterans Memorial Committee president, welcomed the audience and thanked the many contributors who helped make the dream of the memorial a reality with the many hours of volunteer time and money donations. The committee was able to complete the memorial in a remarkably short time span. Much research was done by Venoy Hansen and Boyd Mickel to ensure all names were accurate and encompassed all who served. The posting of colors was presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9276 and American Legion Post 4, both from Mt. Pleasant. The national anthem was sung by Charity Cooper, a Snow College graduate.
