Classic Zambia Safari

South Luangwa National Park

Day 1 – 2

Known as the leopard capital of Zambia, South Luangwa National Park is an established favourite amongst safari goers old and new. At the heart of the park is the Luangwa River, and with its seasonal water levels, brings not only changes to the landscape but the interaction with its resident wildlife. Guided walks, village and cultural tours as well as day and night game drives are possible within this wildlife and birdlife rich region.

Day 3 – 5

Today move to another area to explore further into the park. The Luangwa River in particular is the perfect place for wildlife spotting as the animals rely on this precious resource in the dry seasons. Try either another lodge or perhaps a mobile fly camp.

Lower Zambezi National Park

Day 6 – 8

The mighty Zambezi River dominates the landscape here supporting huge elephant herds and hippo pods, lion prides and numerous antelope species. There is much to do here with the River playing a large part in boating safaris, canoeing and fishing in addition to walks and day/night game drives on land.

Day 9 – 10

Your final destination is Victoria Falls (Mosi oa Tunya) which is listed as a World Heritage Site. The Zambezi River, that feeds the Falls, flows year round, reaching its peak between April – July after the rains. Falls visits are a must, but the area is known also for its adrenaline sports and water activities; including gorge swing, helicopter flights, white water rafting and bungee jumping to name a few.

Day 11

Depart homeward bound or continue your adventure in Zambia or neighbouring Botswana, Zimbabwe or Malawi.

Classic Kafue Safari

Kafue National Park

Day 1 – 4

Kafue National Park is a huge expanse, roughly the size of Wales, made up of the Lufupa, Lunga and Kafue Rivers, floodplains and woodlands supporting an impressive array of wildlife. Great herds of elephants roam the plains alongside hartebeest, roan and waterbuck. The park is also home to several packs of wild dog, prides of lions and leopards. Due to the diversity of the terrain, guests can experience game drives, boat safaris, walking trips and possibly one of the most privileged way to view wildlife, a hot air balloon flight.

Day 5 – 8

RIVERS & WETLANDS SAFARI

South Luangwa

Day 1 – 3

Fly into the South Luangwa National Park, a park that certainly lives up to its name of ‘Leopard Capital’ of Africa. However, across the breadth of the park, great numbers of game live, supported by the essential waters of the South Luangwa River. Viewing vast groups of hippo pod and colonies of carmine bee-eaters during the dry season is a great highlight of the region. Game drives, walking and fly-camp activities are all part of the adventure and guides will explore different areas of the park each day.

Bangweulu Wetlands

Day 4 – 6

Your flight today takes you into the heart of the Bangweulu Wetlands, a remote and scarcely visited region, home to rare black lechwe found in their hundreds of thousands and of course the peculiar Shoebill Stork. In fact, there is superb variety of bird species here including the rare wattled crane, a real delight for keen birdwatchers. Game drives and guided walks are taken here.

Day 7

Depart homeward bound or continue your adventure in Zambia or neighbouring Botswana, Zimbabwe or Malawi.
