Horse Riding

Train Journeys

In southern Africa, two train operators operate luxury train journeys specifically designed for international visitors, connecting some of the sub continent’s most famous attractions in absolute comfort. The world famous Blue Train and Rovos Rail offer journeys through the heart of Africa combining some of the most magnificent scenery with the glamour and excitement of the golden age of rail travel. In Namibia, the Desert Express unique rail experience offers an overnight weekend getaway from Windhoek to the coastal towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. Golf

South Africa is home to some of the finest Championship golf courses in the southern hemisphere. As well as a perfect golfing climate, there are dozens of superb courses throughout Western and Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Sun City. South Africa combines well with Mauritius where there are even more top class courses. Elsewhere in Africa, there are good courses in Namibia and Kenya. The warm Indian Ocean waters off the coast of East and southern Africa offer some of the best warm water Scuba diving in the world. The coasts of Mozambique and KwaZulu-Natal stand out as two of the leading dive destinations in the world. Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Loggerhead and Leatherback Turtles, Dugongs, Humpback Whales, Sharks, Dolphins, and over a 1000 different species of tropical fish can all be found. Weddings

With the world so much more accessible, many couples are not only choosing more exotic honeymoons but now many are searching for that unforgettable wedding venue, and Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands now offer an exciting array of possibilities. Whether this is under a Sausage Tree in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, on a beach in the Seychelles, on an island in the Zambezi with a back drop of the Victoria Falls or on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, almost anything is possible.

A hot air balloon flight, allows guests to see animals in their natural habitat, completely uninterrupted and is truly the icing on the cake of safari activities.

Climbing

Across the African continent there are many peaks to conquer, the most iconic of all being Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. A 4,900m climb from base camp, via six different routes, this proves to be the ultimate African challenge. Elsewhere, the distinctive beauty of the dunes in Sossusvlei, Namibia, draws visitors year after year to witness sunrise or sunset across this red desert, whilst in Kenya, Mount Meru awaits. Central Africa, Uganda and Rwanda offer the finest rainforest trekking in search of the elusive mountain gorillas.
