The hamper producers all have a wide-range of brilliant products that can be enjoyed by all ages. You don’t want to miss out on this competition! The ’support local’ philosophy is at the heart of Made In Northamptonshire (MIN), who believe that it is a positive and helpful way to support your local community. Rachel Mallows, director and founder of MIN, says, “Our philosophy remains the same - to celebrate and grow our local food and drink businesses to keep skills local, reduce food miles, encourage job creation and leverage more of the local pound spent on food and drink to remain in our local economy.” MIN are a multi-stakeholder co-operative supporting producers and eateries to grow, make, produce, sell and eat Northamptonshire food and drink. During the pandemic, local food and drink businesses changed their operations to provide their goods in local areas that were absolutely outstanding. And this wasn’t just about business – many offered help for local residents or donated to food banks. Founded in 2011, over the past decade MIN has helped to support some of the county’s finest local producers, retailers and eateries. In December 2020, MIN opened their first shop at Rushden Lakes stocking a
vast array of delicious local produce including tasty treats from The Confectionist, Brooklyn Brownies, Vicky’s Kitchen, Daily Bread, Explore Chocolate, The Good Loaf, Warner’s, Green Kitchen Preserves, Silverstone Distillery and many more – there really is something for everyone!
> The MIN Shop at Rushden Lakes is open 6 days a week: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and 10am-5pm Saturdays. The shop is located in between Starbucks and Heavenly Desserts. They also have a satellite store at Jeyes of Earls Barton. The MIN Team look forward to you visiting them soon.
