Coronation Celebrations!

We enjoyed hearing about plans for the coronation locally – including from our local schools and groups, who held special assemblies and events.

Here in East Hunsbury, the parish council treated 110 of our local seniors, to a “street party” at the Abbey Centre, on the Tuesday after his Majesty’s coronation.

Volunteers worked across the weekend to set up and serve a sumptuous tea, with music, lots of laughter and a theme of red, white and blue –what else would do?

We were delighted to work once again with Wootton Park School, and pupils from their Health & Social Care course, who attended and hosted the event with our team.

Thanks goes to the army of volunteers who go above and beyond, to help to make these special events.

We rounded off the day with three cheers for His Majesty and a rousing chorus of God Save The King!
