KEY RESULTS
▪ Led technical diligence of a CO2 utilization technology for Fortune 100 consumer goods company, providing a scale-up assessment and technoeconomic evaluation
▪ Reviewed FEL2 design for first demonstration scale prototype for carbon capture technology, identifying design changes to generate data for scale-up, simplify design, and improve operability
▪ Secured a US based collaboration partner for a Japanese chemical major enabling a feasibility study for their CO2 utilization technology
▪ Carried out a process troubleshooting exercise to help a Fortune 200 chemical company double the throughput of a new product so that they could meet the cost targets necessary to bring it to market.
▪ Benchmarked novel hydrocarbon upgrading technology against traditional hydroprocessing to identify potential CAPEX savings of 50% +, assess product/market fit, and identify risks of competing against incumbent technology.
▪ Provided engineering leadership for Industrial Biotechnology company, delivering scale-up plans and managing EPC process for $1M pilot plant design and build and 100 X scaleup to demonstration plant
▪ Provided advisory services to executive team at specialty chemical company including new technology risk mitigation, third party partnerships, and scaleup to enable 25X increase in production
▪ As transitional VP Engineering to industrial biotechnology company, led FEL-1 for project to produce 12 M gal/yr SAF and 30,000 ton/yr chemicals ($250 M total project cost).
