Some Words From Your Editors! Hey PHHS Key Clubbers!

Welcome to the first Key Notes edition of 2019!!! Although it may feel like we’re so far into the new year, it’s hard to believe that that 2019 just kicked off a month ago and that in another month or so, this service year will come to an end. Having elected the 2019-2020 service year exec board, this is the second-to-last edition of PHHS’ Newsletter by yours truly, but we cannot be more certain that the new editors will be incredible!! We will be going into much more details about the new executive board, as well as recapping the Mount Tabor Winter Carnival that occurred just a bit ago! Additionally, with reminders about DCON and candy drives, we hope you love this edition!

Congratulation to your 2019-2020 PHHS Key Club Exec. Board! The Parsippany Hills High School Key Club recently conducted its annual Executive Board elections for the upcoming service year of 2019-2020!! With a special Election Edition of the Key Notes getting published a bit ago, general members were able to read up on candidates and confidently vote during the elections on January 30th. With only 1 candidate for President, 2 for VP/Treasurer, 2 for Editor, and several for the secretaries, the elections were definitely one for the books. The newly created position of webmaster was open to applications and later on appointed by our advisors. We are all looking forward to an amazing 2019-2020 service year! A HUGE CONGRATS to the new board!!!!

The ANNUAL WINTER CARNIVAL @ TABOR!! On Saturday, January 26th, 2019, Mount Tabor Elementary School held its annual Winter Carnival! From 11AM-3PM our VP-elect Wasay Noor and Prez-elect Amy Yang were there volunteering and making kids smile. Every year, Mt. Tabor holds this carnival for all residents nearby to come and enjoy. Having games, prizes, and yummy food including popcorn, pizza, and candy, this carnival was probably the best one our have Key Clubbers have attended so far this year! Running into countless PHHS Key Clubbers (like Editor-to-be Kinzaa) there, it is no doubt that Par Hills’ Key Club volunteers helped tremendously in the success of this incredible yearly tradition!!

Both guardians and kids having a swell time at the carnival!

DCON IS (ALMOST) HERE!! With the DCON 2019 theme having been released a while back, PHHS has been quite thrilled since it was declared that it would be the host club of this year’s annual District Convention!!! Marking the end of one service year and the beginning of another, this weekend-long convention is a break from the tiresome life of high school, going down to Long Branch, NJ, and having a great time by the shore. As we have highlighted in previous newsletters, there are many useful workshops for attendees to learn from, as well as many opportunities for awards, prizes, and competition. The newly elected 2019-2020 service year board, along with this year’s board are all expected to attend, and begin, end, or restart their Key Club service years!

Valentine’s Day CANDY! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and just like any other donation-worthy holiday, we are asking you to bring in candy for hours!! Just like previous times, small bags and big bags of candy will get you different amounts of hours, but the more you bring, the more helpful of a key clubber you will be!! Don’t forget to stay updated with everything else Key Club as well and ask an advisor or exec board member if wanting more specific details on anything!

Questions, Concerns, Comments, or Suggestions on anything Key Club? Don’t hesitate to Contact the PHHS Key Club Executive Board Now!

Some Key Reminders Don’t forget to bring in Valentine’s candy for hours!!!

DCON is right around the Definitely talk to the new corner - stay tuned to hear exec. Board and have them about how it goes get to know you!
