Saying that, welcome back to another Par Hills newsletter, highlighting all the amazing things the PHHS Key Club is doing as we speak! Reporting info on the annual Volleyball Tourney, a reminder to bring in tons of candy and some info on DCON, this newsletter is filled with useful tips that you can take right on into 2019!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Quote Of The Month “Don’t count the days [of the year]. Make the days [of the year] count.” - Muhammad Ali

PHHS had A Great Time at the Co-Divisonal Volleyball Tournament!! On Thursday, December 13th, 2018, starting at 5PM at Mountain Lakes High School, NJ Key Club division 20 and 21 kicked off the annual co-divisional Volleyball Tournament! Teams were competing to show their passion for curing hunger in New Jersey, resulting in the tourney being a great success - the LTGs of divisions 20 and 21 cannot be thanked enough for setting everything up!

Admission was simply $5 or a few cans to support the food drive taking place and to assist with NJ Key Club’s 2018 Service project of “Hunger in New Jersey”!

An unbelievable amount of schools attended, including, Dover, Montville, Morris Catholic, MCST, Morris Hills, Morris Knolls, Morristown, Mountain Lakes, PHHS, PHS, Randolph AND Roxbury!!

With the love season (basically Valentine’s Day) approaching, our annual Teacher Candy handout will be taking place. This, along with the fact that be randomly like to give members candy at general meetings, is a crucial reason for as to why we need you to start bringing in candy!! Nothing is too much and nothing is too little when it comes to candy!! As an incentive, hours will be offered based upon how many and what sized bags of candy you bring! For more information, simply keep an ear out at the next general meeting!

CANDY IS WELCOMED!

DCON 2019 IS ALMOST HERE!!! It may be hard to believe, but the annual Key Club District Convention is yet again, at the midst of taking place. To take place at the end of March at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa, down in Long Branch, NJ, we have a feeling that this one will be even better than last year!!

Not only are we excited to announce that the official 2019 DCON theme is TOY STORY, we are also very proud to let everyone know that Par Hills is the official Host Club this year!!! Getting this amazing opportunity to set up all the decoration, many of which will be handmade, and to be given the honor to be at the epicenter of such an unbelievable event, we could not be more moved to accept this great recognition! In addition, our district

project is again Hunger in NJ this year, and this service year, the district has been collecting canned foods and sending them to the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank. DCON is the last chance for the district to meet its goal so lets make it happen! Donations will happen soon so stay tuned!

Happy Holidays as well as a New Year from the PHHS Key Club! From our family to yours!

On December 18th, the last week of school before winter break, the PHHS key Club held the last general meeting of 2018, as well as its annual holiday party! Countless members brought in food, drinks and even utensils to contribute and celebrate the holiday season as a Key Club Family!! Although you readers are not provided with any pictures of the amazingly fun time everyone had at that party, eating cookies and all, words can mean a lot. And the purpose of this entire page is to simply wish you what the title states. Have a wonderfully beautiful 2019 everyone!
