Additionally, John Dundas, radio services manager at the Rio Olympic Games 2016, will share the lessons learnt from the Rio Olympics, addressing the challenges of scalability and asking what still needs to be done to best equip event security services. Following this, Steve Whatson, deputy director of ESN at the Home Office, will present a UK case study, looking at ‘Transitioning from TETRA to Full Public Safety LTE’, which will provide an update on ESN to date, analysing timelines and key benchmarks and the challenges experienced to date.
