SCHOOL HIGHLIGHT… BOHUNT SCHOOL UNDER-13 HOCKEY CROWNED CHAMPIONS On Tuesday 9 November, despite being the only team from a state school, Bohunt Liphook’s hockey team beat 17 other schools to win the county round of the national In2Hockey Under 13s Championship. The competition, which took place at Southampton Sports Park, was an all-day event. Showing their prowess, the team, captained by Elodie P, were able go through the group stages undefeated, taking on four other teams without a loss. The quarter-finals were a sweep, with Bohunt Liphook defeating Walhampton an impressive 6-0!

The team did an amazing job in a tricky semi-final against Farleigh, which ended in a draw of 1-1. The match ended up going to nail biting penalties where Bohunt Liphook’s goalie, Martha R, did a phenomenal job and managed to save all three shots taken against her. Vice-Captain Tess W then secured the victory by scoring the winning penalty. Bohunt were then able to bring it home with a slam-dunk victory against King Edward’s School Southampton, winning their final match with a score of 2-0.
