HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 2018 GALA: "STEVE MARTIN AND MARTIN SHORT – AN EVENING YOU WILL FORGET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE FEATURING THE STEEP CANYON RANGERS AND JEFF BABKO" – SATURDAY, APRIL 14 STEVE MARTIN AND MARTIN SHORT, along with THE STEEP CANYON RANGERS and JEFF BABKO, performed to a packed house during our 2018 Annual Gala performance. The comedy legends’ show was a mix of stand-up, music, video clips, and interviewstyle conversations. Andy Smith from The Providence Journal said, “Forgettable or not, this was a sharp and funny show. Because Martin and Short are sharp and funny guys.” The PPAC Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Theatre’s ongoing restoration projects, ensuring that our historic building remains world-class for years to come. The post-show Gala reception opened with a brief speaking program, with remarks from PPAC President J.L. “Lynn” Singleton and Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza.

Those holding Gala tickets attended a post-performance party in the PPAC Grand Lobby.
