Lokal, a boutique hotel in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood, was designed with craftsmanship and timeless style in mind. White oak flooring snakes up the entryway and through the apartment-style units.

In fact, it’s the first thing visitors see as they scale the narrow stairwell. Provenance milled the planks in the same fashion as flooring a 100 years ago, making it a natural fit for the centuries-old structure.

Our client dreamed of turning his Craftsman house on the Main Line of Philadelphia into a chalet-like dwelling.

Provenance’s inventory of reclaimed wood was an integral part of bringing that vision to life. With extensive renovations, the house almost doubled in size, giving the family plenty of inviting spaces to gather. Live sawn white oak flooring was used throughout the house to compliment the rugged beams soaring overhead.
