Superintendent’s farewell to SISD Class of 2019 Congratulations Sharyland ISD Graduates of 2019! Through your academic achievement, each of you has proven that you are ready for the next big steps of your journey. Whether you have chosen to attend college or technical school, volunteer for military service, or enter the workforce, I am confident that the lessons you carry with you will provide a strong foundation for success. The education that you received at Sharyland ISD goes beyond the required lessons you learned in each class. Your education and experiences at Sharyland ISD have exposed you to some of the many possibilities available to you, helped you envision the role you will play in your community, and encouraged you to dream big. I hope you will use those experiences to your advantage as you continue to make choices about the next phase of your life. As you navigate the future uncertainties and decisions that inevitably await you, remember to draw upon the core values and morals you have developed from your family, teachers, coaches and community. You will undoubtedly make mistakes and occasionally fall. But if your choices are founded on this strong value system, I know that you will get up and decide to do better each time. On behalf of the Sharyland ISD Board of Trustees and the staff at Sharyland ISD, we wish you the best in the next stage of your life. Please know that the support we provide doesn’t stop once you graduate. We look forward to seeing your future successes and will be there to support you along the way.
